Apparently DC's doing a tie-in comic if you do the pre-order thing with the Man of Steel DVD/Blu-Ray pack. Normally this wouldn't be too significant, except for two major things:

1) It's written by David Goyer, and it's considered canon in the new continuity.

And

2) One of the major characters we see in it?

And 2) One of the major characters we see in it? SPOILER: show Motherfucking Kara Zor-El. There you have it, folks. Kara Zor-El is confirmed in the new Superman/DC movie-verse, which means it's damned likely that we'll see Supergirl in the inevitable MoS sequel.
