Apparently DC's doing a tie-in comic if you do the pre-order thing with the Man of Steel DVD/Blu-Ray pack. Normally this wouldn't be too significant, except for two major things:

1) It's written by David Goyer, and it's considered canon in the new continuity.

And

2) One of the major characters we see in it?

SPOILER: show

Motherfucking Kara Zor-El.

There you have it, folks. Kara Zor-El is confirmed in the new Superman/DC movie-verse, which means it's damned likely that we'll see Supergirl in the inevitable MoS sequel.
