"Unchained?" Has Superman ever been successfully 'chained' before to make that adjective fit? I mean, yeah, Clark usually holds back on using the full scope of his powers, but that's because he wants to-- or rather, because he doesn't want to accidentally destroy everything and everyone around him-- and not because someone or something is holding him back against his will.

My guess is they're trying to go with the whole notion that "Oh yeah, now you're gonna see Superman really kick some ass!" At which point I would say that was never the point of the character in the first place.

I still like Scott Snyder and think he can do a good job on the book, but that title really puts a bad taste in my mouth, and doesn't exactly do much to make up for all the other questionable-at-best things they've done with Superman since the reboot.
