I mean, I understand your point, I just really think it boils down to "who really cares?" and I don't mean that in a negative way.

Like, you say "500 days" which is a great accomplishment in the business of wrestling, but I'm just thinking maybe thats not what they're trying to do or accomplish. They gave him the belt for 434 days, I think winning it back in a really heel way is a great way to get some heat; we've already seen that in Punks mind he never lost it. From a business perspective he had a long reign and added legitimacy to the title, The Rock winning the title puts a lot more eyes on the product, and if Punk indeed does win it back in some type of heel fashion, that's just one more "X-Time WWE Champion" that we can add to that, if someone were to care about a "statline" of sorts.

I mean, I guess I'm just not as critical of the booking, simply because accolades in a scripted sport are kind of perceived differently, by me at least. I just want the story to unfold in a way thats entertaining. We'll see tho.
