I don't think you understand how this works. The idea is a buyback program. The people holding this are trying to get them off the streets. They are not funding the gaming industry. Anyone buying games specifically to take advantage will be doing so at a loss unless they don't bother with some sort of sliding scale.

Whether the people who take them up do this knowing the games are M rated or not is completely irrelevant and beside the point.

In short, know what you're talking about before you rant or you're no better than these people. The article even mentions how this works, and it's not even one of the better written pieces on the subject.

If you can't be bothered, why should they?
