I could deal with taking on Chen for a year. Only making $4.5 million this year, still less than what Dickey is making. Johan-Harvey-Niese-Chen-Gee is a pretty good rotation. A step down from Dickey-Johan-Harvey-Niese-Gee, but still pretty good. Not to mention Zack Wheeler probably up at some point during the summer.

But Myers is exactly the kind of player the Mets should be jumping at. Young, under team control for 6 years at a low salary, and 30 HR potential.

I have my doubts the Royals end up pulling the trigger. Getting rid of Myers would be stupid.
