EA's Origin services have been hacked and to make matters worse EA's security system has made it almost impossible for people affected to change their account info.
According to early details, the attack appears to be part of a phishing scam originating from Russia or using Russian IPs as part of the attack.
EA has stated anyone affected to contact their Origin customer service department to get help. They also claimed their robust security system is designed in a way to always allow people the ability to change their account information whenever it is needed to be more secure.
The only problem is EA completely locked out those affected from changing their account details while thousands of people who have called customer service were refused any help. Those same representatives were unwilling to restore accounts since the valid information being required is not what was originally on the account but what was changed by hackers.
