At Gamescom, EA re-announces a new Command & Conquer game is being development and is being done by Bioware who teased they were working on a game for the series months ago.
Titled as "Command & Conquer", the game follows the same RTS style as past games in the series while also using the free-to-play model.
In terms of content, the first content piece available at launch will be based on the Generals 2 game with more "universes" to be added in the future such as the Red Alert and Tiberium settings.
The game itself runs on the Frostbite 2.0 engine while Bioware Victory studio is working on the project. A closed beta will be available in the future with official signups to occur at the game's official webpage.

2) Another "LA Noire" fiasco appears to be occurring at Vigril Games after complaints of the studio purposely left out names of several people from the Darksiders II credits list. A few of the names left out supposedly had a major impact on the finished state of the game.

3) Update to Valve potentially announcing Half-Life 3 at Gamescom appears to have been false baring a special announcement before the expo is over. It appears the debut of "Mann vs Machine" mode for Team Fortress 2 most likely was the special announcement which occurred well before EA's press conference.
