Back on subject, there have been some interesting points bought up in this thread.

Although I still think Orton currently has had the most success, I do believe somewhere down the line CM Punk will change this.

Another point to consider, which I don't think has been brought, is that CM Punk has now held the title for, what, six or seven months? How long was Orton's longest title reign? This years Wrestlemania could also serve to show the standings of both men in the companies eyes. CM Punk was more-or-less in the main event, in a well booked, highly promoted match against Chris Jericho, which only came second to JOHN CENA and THE fucking ROCK!!! Orton was put into a throwaway match against Kane, which was really chucked together because neither man had anything going on.

He's not quite there yet, but somewhere down the line, five, maybe ten years, CM Punk could very easily surpass anything Orton has done.
