So Avengers: Children's Crusade recently finished up, and the whole premise of that book was that the x-men wanted to bring The Scarlet Witch to justice for her crimes. This put them at odds with the Avengers, who believe that Wanda should be with them because she is first and foremost an avenger, and they take care of their own.
So now in Avengers vs X-men, the roles are switched, with the catalyst being Hope. This makes both teams look like giant fucking hypocrites. I mean, Children's Crusasde was kind of a big deal. Several characters died, and a few others long thought dead, returned. Avengers vs X-men is obviously a big deal. So how did they not see this huge contradiction when drawing up the story?

There is no real hypocritical messages here because the xmen wanting to punish scarlet witch was because of what she did, the avengers trying to bring in hope is because theyre afraid of what she could do all the while she might simply rebirth the entire mutant race.

It's like the WWE creative team wrote this.
Fucking phoenix. Such a tired concept anyway.

The reason for them being interested NOW over before is because of the Cable situation in XSanction.
