Arc System Works confirms BlazBlue Continuum Shift 2 will be coming to the 3DS and PSP on May 31 with a special bonus for those who have the first game on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The game was originally set to arrive May 24 but the studio realized it would be much wiser to push the release date as that is the same date as the new Dead or Alive game for the 3DS.
For PS3 and Xbox 360 owners of the first game, Arc has promised the game will be sort of given away as free DLC for the first game but with some changes and some stuff being separated as paid DLC.

First off, we have the Continuum Shift II update that will be free of charge. This update will re-balance the entire roster to that of the arcade/handheld versions of Continuum Shift II, new challenge modes, new tutorials and it will fix some minor glitches and bugs.
There will also be another update but this one will come with a cost. This update comes in the form of a new character by the name of Platinum The Trinity (she's pictured above). This update will cost $7.99 or 560 MS points (I guess they're trying to make back some of the free CS II upgrade). This update will also include new achievements/Trophies for the character, as well as extend the story mode to include her plot line.

As of now the DLC update is expected to come around the same time as the 3DS and PSP game but it could be pushed back in order to let the handhelds generate some sales.

Update on the rumored Nintendo controller:
A source inside of Ubisoft is saying the current beta HD screen on the controller can show off 3D glasses-free stuff. Another source says the controller itself is much more accurate and stronger than the WiiMote Plus and PS Move. The screen does allow streaming from console to controller and could mimic how the Nintendo DS separates stuff with two screens.
EA, Activision, Ubisoft and other big studios have had the development kits as early as late 2010.
