In somewhat of a surprising announcement, Nintendo announced the remake of Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time for the 3DS was not developed by one of Nintendo's internal studios but outsourced to a new studio that has some former ties with Square-Enix.
Nintendo hand-picked Grezzo Games to develop the game which has some experience working with Nintendo in the past with their recent game coming last year on WiiWare. This studio was formed in 2006 after Koichi Ishii, creator of the Mana rpg series and worked on 5 of the earlier Final Fantasy games, left Square-Enix
The studio hasn't been alone in working on the project with input and advice coming from Nintendo to help with the enhanced port of the N64 game.
The 3DS version is set to arrive in stores on June 19 for the US/Canada and June 17 for the UK/Europe.
