The official "Guitar Hero Franchise Update FAQ" breaks the bad—but not wholly unexpected—news that after the release of already announced downloadable content, your copies of DJ Hero 2 and Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will no longer be updated with new music. You'll still be able to purchase all the already released content, naturally, but you'll have to make do with it for the foreseeable future.

Likely one of the biggest reasons for Activision turning off the drip feed of new tracks—beyond the shutting down of the Guitar Hero division—is that there won't be as many people around to make those songs. Activision is reportedly cutting back at music game studios Vicarious Visions and 7 Studios, with the future of DJ Hero creators Freestyle Games currently unknown.
Only way new DLC packs are coming is if Activision brings out a new DJ Hero game (or GH game).
