WWE NXT – July 27, 2010

Drake Brewer continues to shun the advice of his WWE Pro Goldust. Brewer opted to go it alone against Eli Cottonwood. Cottonwood had already bested Brewer in tag action 2 weeks ago. Although Brewer had a good showing, a critical mistake led to Brewer stumbling to his feet and into a Chokeslam. Cottonwood improves to 3-0 while Brewer is 0-2. Goldust shakes his head from the stage.

One week after a fantastic match against Jack Swagger, Joe Hennig tries his luck against Titus O’Neill. Henning puts up another great showing but to no avail. However, his loss was certainly tainted. Sheamus tripped him up at ringside which allowed O’Neill to capitalize with a big DDT. O’Neill moves to 2-1 while Henning falls to 0-3.

Alex Riley continues to be a huge prick to pretty much everybody not named Jack Swagger. He gets into a verbal spat backstage with Johnny Prime. They trade insults, ending with Prime zinging Riley big time. Riley just chuckles before unnecessarily sucker-punching Prime.

Main event tag team action as Kaval and Ted DiBiase meet Donny Marlow and MVP. DiBiase gets his ass kicked by both opponents before tagging to Kaval. Kaval comes in and starts kicking ass. Marlow is reeling as Kaval heads up top in his corner, presumably for a standing Warrior’s Way. DiBiase tags himself in and promptly hits Marlow with Dream Street for the win. DiBiase steals the win away from his rookie! Kaval goes to 3-0 while Marlow drops to 0-3. Kaval voices his displeasure at DiBiase as the show goes off the air.
