Blitz Vs. Funky Fly

A very interesting matchup. Has been said both Funky and I have improved since our SF4 days, but we haven't had much in head to head going into this match. Who would win? Let's do this...

Round 1
Cammy (Blitz) Vs. Abel (Funky)-I break out my first main to begin. I take the first round with a come back Gyrodrive Smasher. Second round I handle, Funky takes a very close round 3, and I mop up in round 4. A good start.

Round 2
Guy Vs. Blanka-Blanka is one of those characters who I just never have an answer for, and I know Funky has a good one. Nevertheless, I've got Guy, who I've been doing very well with online lately. Rounds 1 and 2 were close, with Funky taking the former and me taking the latter. Round 3 came down to slivers of health, but Funk pulled it out. Round 4, Funk would've perfected me if not for a traded crouching roundhouse at rounds end. He takes it.

Ibuki Vs. Zangief-My low stamina'd ninja against the Russian tank? No sweat. I've never feared Gief too much, and this fight was no different. Say it with me kids: Rush. That. Shit. Down. I perfect him round 1, a wakeup ultra finishes round 2, and a slightly whiffed ultra followed by EX neckbreaker ends the third, and I've got a sweep.

Round 4
Guy vs. T-Hawk-I have very little experience playing against T-Hawk, but the few fights I have had have been ugly. This one fits that. We traded rounds and it came down to number 6, where I blew it hardcore by looking for my super too much. Bah. Guy wasn't working for me tonight, but I did have the misfortune of drawing him against 2 characters that give me lots of trouble.

Round 5
Ken Vs. Bison-Funky takes round 1 by ultraing over my hadouken. I get aggressive in round 2 and take that one. Same goes for rounds 3 and 4.

Round 6
Dudley Vs. Blanka-I have hot and cold streaks with Dudley, and am in the midst of a cold one, but I gave him a shot. I take round 1, but whiff on an ultra in round 2. I suck dick hard core in round 3, round 4 had a pretty nice finish, with Funky blocking my ultra, but me immediately following it up with a super to win. Funky turtled up in round 5 and I didn't have an answer. He wins.

Ibuki vs. Abel-When Ibuki works for me, she works fucking beautifully. I sweep the first 3 rounds, and there ain't much more to say than that.

Ken Vs. T-Hawk-I like playing aggressive with Ken, and do so here. We trade the first 2 rounds, but Funky takes control in 3, ultraing me right after my ultra, and utterly manhandling me in 4.

Cammy Vs. Sagat-Ehhhh little anticlimactic. I handle rounds 1 and 2. Funky takes me down past half life in round 3, but a super/ultra combo evens the playing field, and I come back for the win.

Blitz defeats Funky Fly 5-4

Helluva series. Hats off to Funky. He's probably the closest match to me in terms of skill here, so it was nice and competitive. In closing, fuck Blanka and T-Hawk.
