Oh... one of those. Type of guy who thinks he shouldn't ever lose and when he does it's Hell for everybody around him. You can't even talk trash because he'll take it personally, and it's fairly certain he's not competitive at all - he approaches competitive gaming as he would single-player, where the inevitable, required outcome is to win. But in fighting games and such it's literally you or him, and if you don't tighten up it'll be him... over and over.
I'm not making an argument for the elitist 'Playing to Win' concept but I know guys who aren't mentally capable of taking a loss.
