Yeah SitRep Pro is a great counter to MLC users. With that on they should never get within range to knife you. Really I just don't see the problem with knifing. If someone is close enough to lunge at you with their knife, they could have easily blown you away with a shotgun. I'd have to agree with alvarado. I can be firing like crazy and as soon as the other guy hits the melee key it's over for me. I've been using akimbo G18s, but I do recall using shotguns was incredibly hard against MLC just because the guy can side step like an inch and he's out of the range of my shotgun.

And hitting the melee key from 3 or 4 feet away will shoot you forward to your opponent in blink of an eye. It's not so obvious when you're watching the killcam, but it's ridiculous WATCHING someone knife someone else from quite a distance away.
