MARCH 15, 2004 - MONDAY NIGHT RAW

It's night #1 of the post-WrestleMania draft! Last night, four titles changed hands, and tonight, the wrestlers themselves will begin swapping back and forth between shows. The winners of each match will be allowed to choose between staying on their brand (and bringing the losers with them) or jumping to the opposing brand. New rivalries are sure to pop up over the next two shows, and neither brand will ever be the same!

We start things off with a bang as it's a battle of the Brothers of Destruction! Kane starts off with a neckbreaker and a piledriver for two. Undertaker fires back with a punch, a slam, and a back elbow for two. DVD for a long two. UT hits a fallaway slam, but misses a legdrop. Kane hits a piledriver for two, then a lariat for two. Another clothesline and slam, but UT kicks him in the face to break up a backdrop, then hits a neckbreaker and another DVD. UT hooks Kane up and hits the Last Ride for the win! He shakes hands with his brother after the match.

Result - Undertaker to RAW

Up next is a terrible match between Booker T and Big Show. Booker didn't put in much effort, and Show didn't sell, so it was a horrible segment. Booker hits the Book End for the win.

Result - Big Show to RAW

The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry is out next, and his opponent...s are going to be Jamie Noble and Shannon Moore! Henry wanted to prove that he's such a dominant force, he can pull two wrestlers over at once! Noble and Moore get in almost all of the offense in this one, other than Henry piledriving Moore and a spinebuster on Noble, but the cruisers were just too fast for him, and Moore hits a Twist of Fate for the win!

Result - Mark Henry to SmackDown!

It's tag-team action next as Lance Storm and Tommy Dreamer take on the FBI's Chuck Palumbo and Johnny Stamboli. Palumbo pounds on Dreamer and hits a suplex for two. Tag to Stamboli for a Hart Attack for two. Stamboli hits a neckbreaker, but Dreamer turns a sleeper into a jawbreaker, then a full nelson slam for two. Tag to Storm, who hits a runing senton for two. Storm hits a legsweep, but gets knees on a splash attempt. Slam by Stamboli, and a tag to Palumbo, who hits a right hand. Dreamer tags back in and gets punched, then takes the Kiss of Death, and the FBI win!

Result - Chuck Palumbo and Johnny Stamboli to RAW

The dud draft show continues as Spike Dudley takes on Carlito. Spike hits a couple of clotheslines for two. He attempts a piledriver, but Carlito backdrops out of it, then hits an armdrag, and a flying elbow for two. Flying knee for two. Carlito hits another armdrag, but gets powerslammed for two. Spike hits a clothesline for two. Clothesline in the corner, then some brawling from Spike. Carlito hits a flying kick, then an enzuigiri to set up an Inverted Figure Four for the win.

Result - Spike Dudley to SmackDown!

Edge and Rob Conway are out next for a match whose outcome is pretty much decided, but the question is - where will Edge go? Conway seems to not know he's the underdog, though, as he hits a chop and a splash from the second rope for two. Edge works on Conway fora bit, then a flying shoulder tackle for two. Lifting DDT for two. Spinning neckbreaker, but Conway hits a high kick for two. Enzuigiri from Conway for two. Flying kick, back kick, but Edge gets a boot up on an avalanche attempt, then a neckbreaker. DVD sets up the Edgecutioner and Edge wins!

Result - Edge to RAW

The World's Greatest Tag Team have dominated the tag team division on SmackDown!, and are looking to add new challengers to the mix against La Resistance. Dupree headbutts Haas, then hits a suplex for two. Tag to Grenier for a Hart Attack for two. Clothesline in the corner, but Haas hits a delayed suplex for two. Tag to Benjamin for a reverse DDT for two, then a neckbreaker. Grenier slams Benjamin, then tags in Dupree for a headbutt. Haas tags back in, but gets clotheslined. Haas tries to slam Dupree, but Dupree gets him in the eyes. While the referee is checking Haas' eyes, he misses Dupree kick him between the legs, and Dupree rolls him up for the cheap win! The two teams begin brawling after the bell, but the damage has been done!

Result - World's Greatest Tag Team (AND the WWE Tag Team Titles) to RAW

Rob Van Dam and Sean O'Haire are out next, and surprisingly, O'Haire dominates this one. RVD never really gets off the ground (literally or figuratively), and winds up falling victim to the Prophecy.

Result - Sean O'Haire (AND the United States Title) to RAW

Up next is a match that was supposed to be Rico vs. Billy Kidman, except I forgot I suspended Kidman for his attitude again, so instead he'll be fighting Billy Gunn. Go me! Rico hits a dropkick and a flying axehandle for two. Billy hits a neckbreaker, then pounds on Rico a bit, then hits a clothesline. Rico trips up Billy and hits a running senton, then hits his spinning leg lariat for the win.

Result - Rico to SmackDown!

Last night, John Cena picked up the win in the biggest match of his career to become the WWE Champion. Tonight, he must face off against another hungry challenger - the animal Batista! Cena hits a slam, a right hand, a backdrop, and a fallaway slam. Batista fights back with a kick and a DDT for two. Cena hits a spike slam for two. DVD for a long two. Batista figths back, but takes another fallaway slam, then the F5. Cena wins!

Result - Batista to SmackDown!

And our main event tonight is also not kind to a brand-new champion as Shawn Michaels - the new World Champion - takes on Kurt Angle! With Cena remaining on SmackDown!, would HBK take the World Title over to SD to put both main titles on the same brand? HBK hits a neckbreaker and a lightning kick for two. Angle hits a forearm and a fallaway slam for two. Flapjack for a long two, then a clothesline. HBK hits a spear for two. Springboard dropkick for a long two, then a legsweep and a chop. Angle kicks HBK in the chest and hits a double-arm DDT. HBK is laid out, and Angle clamps on the Angle Lock! HBK tries to fight it, but decides that he's going to save himself to fight another day, and taps out! Angle has beaten the World Champion! After the match, HBK cheap shots Angle with Sweet Chin Music and stands over him as RAW goes off the air.

Result - Kurt Angle to RAW

So after one night of the 2004 WWE Draft, both the United States and WWE Tag Team Titles have switched to RAW, which now gives that brand six titles! At the moment, SmackDown! has only the WWE Title and the Cruiserweight Title! You can bet that SD GM Stephanie McMahon is rallying the troops for this Thursday night (the ones she has left, anyway) to try and maintain SD's equality to RAW. Tonight certainly proved that anything can happen in World Wrestling Entertainment, and SmackDown! should prove to be no different!
