FEBRUARY 2, 2004 - MONDAY NIGHT RAW

Did the groundhog see his shadow? Who gives a crap? The Road to WrestleMania XX rolls on tonight and our main event will feature three of the biggest rivalries on RAW mixing it up in a six-man tag-team match!

Up first is a tag match pitting the unlikely duos of Mark Jindrak and Chris Nowinski and Rosey and Val Venis against one another. Nowinski and Jindrak control Rosey early, double-teaming him and keeping him away from Val until Rosey hits Jindrak with a spinebuster to tag in his veteran partner. Val slams and bulldogs Jindrak, but his attempt at the Money Shot winds up wiping him out on Jindrak's knees. Nowinski tags in and hits a DDT and a spinebuster for a long two. Val ducks a clothesline and hits a bulldog and finally puts him away with the Money Shot.

Two of RAW's most feared monsters are up next as the Big Red Machine Kane takes on the World's Strongest Man, Mark Henry. Kane pretty much dominates here, even though Henry doesn't sell much, so it doesn't get Kane over quite like it's supposed to. It ends with the Chokeslam.

Backstage, Mickie James cuts a promo about how she has trained her whole life to be a professional wrestler and that she's so very greatful to have finally made it to Monday Night RAW where she can rub elbows with these women she's admired for years. And she's not about to let them down.

Divas tag-team action is next as the Women's Champion Victoria teams with Lita to take on Jazz and Molly Holly. Victoria and Lita work on Jazz for several minutes at the start of the match getting in a couple of near falls, but when Lita misses a legdrop, Molly tags in and goes to work. Victoria tags back in, but winds up eating a missile dropkick and the Molly Go Round! Molly Holly has pinned the Women's Champion!

Last week, Boss Man finally broke out of a month's-long slump by being a member of the winning team in an eight-man tag match, but tonight he faces the unenviable task of taking on Booker T, who is trying to carry momentum into his No Way Out match against Kane. Fairly ugly math that ends with Booker catching the veteran with the Book End for the win.

Two of the finest female wrestlers in the world are up next as Trish Stratus takes on Gail Kim. The crowd gets way into this one, although there were a couple of blown spots. Lots of near-falls and a pretty exciting match ends with Trish hitting Gail with Stratusfaction for the win.

At No Way Out, we will see a ten-man tag team match pitting five ECW originals against the "class" of World Wrestling Entertainment. Tonight, those ten men go at it in a battle royal! The match starts off on a strong note with Sylvan Grenier eliminating his La Resistance partner Rob Conway. William Regal takes exception to his partners turning on each other... and eliminates Grenier. He then takes out Dupree, which makes hit 5-on-2 in favor of the ECW Originals... and they haven't even eliminated anybody yet! RVD takes out Tommy Dreamer, and the crowd scratches their head at the nonsensical booking happening in this match. Regal again takes out one of his own partners when he eliminates Test, making it 4-on-1. For being classy, he sure isn't very smart. Lance Storm eliminates Spike Dudley, only to get bundled out by Nova, and now Regal's odds are looking better. It's Nova vs. Regal vs. Van Dam! It turns into a pretty good wrestling match. Regal dumps Nova out, but RVD uses his martial arts skills and a DDT to wear him down enough to hit the Five-Star Frogsplash and eliminate him to win the match.

The Dudley Boyz/Vitamin C feud continues to build, and tonight we have two one-on-one matches pitting them against each other. First up, it's Bubba Ray Dudley against Chris Jericho. In terms of match quality, this one was match of the night, with several near falls and both guys getting in some good spots. Jericho catches Bubba with a flying kick off the second rope to set up the Walls of Jericho for the submission victory.

Now it's D-Von and Christian's turn. Christian starts off strong with a snap suplex and a powerbomb for two, then D-Von fights back with brawling moves and a big clothesline for two. More brawling until Christian reverses a waistlock into a full nelson. Christian again powerbombs D-Von for two, then hits a clothesline and some punches. D-Von manages to land a big kick and a spinebuster. He whips CHristian into the turnbuckles, but there's a ref bump! D-Von tries for his reverse DDT, but Christian escapes to the floor. As D-Von reaches out to grab him, Christian blasts him with the ring bell! The ref comes to in time to see Christian go for the pin, but... he sees the ring bell and calls for the DQ! D-Von wins!

After the break, the Dudleyz are backstage and they cut a promo about how VC is going to need to be more careful if they want to take the World Tag Team belts from them. When they get their next shot, and this is definitely not an "if," they'd better be paying attention to the referee and the rules, because they'd hate for them to use a DQ loss as an excuse.

Our main event is next as the World Heavyweight Champion The Rock teams with Rico and the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Title Hurricane to take on the Intercontinental Champion Matt Hardy Version 1.0, Batista, and the #1 contender for the World Title Shawn Michaels! Rico and Batista renew their rivalry by starting the match, and Batista takes control. Kick, slam tag to HBK, who then takes to the air for a two count. Tag to the IC champ, and they hit a double suplex. Matt hits a clothesline, but Rico hits a dropkick to stop his momentum and tag in Hurricane. Hurricane hits a running knee lift and a back heel kick on his rival for two. Dropkick to the knee, and in comes the champ! Rock hits a slam and a neckbreaker, but as he goes for a backdrop, Matt kicks him in the face and tags Batista back in. Batista punches Rock hard, sending him back to his corner, where he tags in Rico. Rico hits a big spinning kick, a bulldog, and his trademark spinning leg lariat to pick up the upset victory!

Next week on RAW, we'll be less than three weeks away from No Way Out and only five weeks away from the 19th anniversary of WrestleMania! You can bet that there will be tons more PPV build up, and one title match has already been announced - Victoria will defend the Women's Title against the woman who pinned her tonight, Molly Holly!
