And now...the inaugural show for Future Endeavors Wrestling...Path to Glory! Held on April 4, 2009...just one day ahead of the biggest show of the year for the promotion that wished all of these guys the best in their future endeavors.

---

Our opening bout saw two familiar teams squaring off, as Lance Kade and Trevor Murdock faced off against Rory and Robbie, The Groundskeepers. More or less a formulaic tag team match, as the Scottish men managed to isolate Trevor from his corner of the ring. Lance gets the hot tag in, fights off both men, and Trevor recovers long enough to hit the Sweet 'N Sour on Rory for the victory.

Ring veteran "Hardcore" Bob Howard looked to make an example of the egotistical throwback Cliff Compton in our next contest. Hardcore worked stiff, as always, but couldn't seem to put Compton away. In somewhat of a surprise, Cliff managed to fight his way back and actually planted Howard with the Cliff Hanger for a surprising victory. Looking stunned, Howard decided to give credit where it was due and tried to take Compton up on his handshake, but instead he received a kick in the balls. OHHH!!!

Road Agent Note: Bob Howard lost overness (but Cliff didn't gain anything)

The next contest could quite simply be described as a 3-way freakshow. The worm-eating, clock-smashing Boogeyman went up against the vampire warrior Thorn and the sadistic Sinn the Clown. Fans were probably more entertained by the characters involved than the match itself. In any event, Thorn plants Sinn with a Crucifix Powerbomb and walks away with the win.

Two tough guys squared off next as biker Chuck Palumbo met Chris "don't call me Braden Walker" Harris. Harris looked to be in far better shape than he was during his stupid ECW stint, and he looked to have Chuck's number, dishing out punishment and kicking out of anything Palumbo threw at him. Therefore, Palumbo felt the need to cheat to win, using the ropes for leverage in a rollup pin for the victory.

In our most technical bout of the evening, decorated former champion Val Venus met up with Dave Taylor, one of the most brutal British wrestlers in the business. Both men took each other to the limit, applying stiff shots and exchanging several holds. Ultimately, Val Venus came out victorious by making Taylor submit to the Venus Fly Trap. Some guy named Alienoid was seen marking out.

Quite a change of pace occurred in the next match which saw Paul London, Shannon Moore, James Maritato, and Super Crazy competing in a one fall to a finish four corners match (hey, if WWE won't utilize its cruiserweights, we will!) Bodies were flying everywhere in the high octane bout. The conclusion came when London hit a 450 splash on Crazy for the win while the other two combatants were outside the ring.

Jonathan Coachman gets up from the commentary table and walks to the ring holding a bag. When he gets into the ring, he reveals that the reason he left his SportsCenter anchor job at ESPN was because he was given the chance to be put in charge here at Future Endeavors Wrestling. From out of the bag he pulls a new belt: the FEW Championship. And now for the surprise - throughout the night, 30 men were backstage pulling numbers, and now - a Royal Rumble match to determine the inaugural champion!

I won't bother typing out the elimination order cause EWR is always stupid and puts nearly all the eliminations after everybody entered. But anyway, the EWR-generated final four was Cliff Compton, Elijah Burke, D'Lo Brown, and King Nelson. Everybody tried to team up and get the colossal Nelson out of the ring, but he kept fighting it off. The assult continued and they didn't let up. Compton and Burke got Nelson teetering on the ropes and D'Lo dropkicked him and that momentum sent him packing.

This oddly enough left entries 5 through 7 as the last 3. Compton went out next at the hands of Burke. D'Lo and Elijah then brawled and a series of near-eliminations occurred. After both men struggling, Elijah was stunned and walked into a Sky High. Burke was then easy prey, as D'Lo chucked Burke out to become the first ever FEW Champion, the crowd goes wild!

Road Agent Note: The FEW Title gained in image.

As D'Lo Brown celebrated with his title, Elijah Burke recovered on the outside. He kept threatening to get back into the ring to attack Brown, and Brown looked poised and ready to fight him off. However, from behind, Brown was assaulted by two men who entered from the crowd. The fans recognized these two men as Dolph Ziggler and former ECW champion Jack Swagger, both of whom had just been released by World Wrestling Entertainment the previous day during their budget cuts. They laid a beatdown on D'Lo, before leaving together with Burke as the show comes to a close. What was the meaning of that?
OR: 70

68 Overall Rating for Path to Glory...not bad for a first-ever show.
