It really isn't hard to avoid. Most of the weapons, you shouldn't be killing at too close a range anyways. And if you get killed once or twice by it in a match, that's enough to remind you to be wary.
I got killed by it a lot when I started. But now it's second nature to me (most of the time) to not blindly charge over a just killed corpse. Yeah it kind of sucks if you're going around a corner and run into an martyrdomed enemy that a teammate just dropped or something, but shit like that happens in video games.
And all the stuff about it disrupting tactical movement, well that's kind of the point, isn't it. I know I'm not gonna turn off any of my perks because it annoys my opponent. I want him off his game. That's like complaining about people throwing fireballs in Street Fighter because you can't walk across the screen anymore.
