Stupid EWR. Had to re-write my show around because Chavo got injured (only a 1 month deal, he'll be back by the next show)

SmackDown! Cyber Week - October 26, 2007

-------

Segment 1: World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio comes out, ready to defend his title against Chavo Guerrero. However, Theodore Long comes out and says that Chavo's been injured and the match has been postponed until next week. However, Rey's a fighting champion so he'll still defend the title against anyone who wants it. Long ate his words, as Val Venis answered the call...

Segment 2: ...Long would trump Val though when it was announced the match was to have a special referee as per WWE fans. Long appointed himself the referee and made sure to keep Val in line as he invariably tried to cheat. Rey got the win and looked toward next week and beyond.

Segment 3: Batista walking toward the ring for his match.

Segment 4: Batista vs. Ric Flair would be a cage match. Back and forth battle, utilizing the cage as a weapon. In a recurring theme in my shows, the ref got knocked out and Flair escaped through the door. Since the official could not announce the decision, Batista left, threw Flair back in and beat him down. He hit the Batista Bomb and escaped with a cheap win. As Batista walked up the ramp, Flair gloated by saying "at least I still have a chance to be number one contender!"

Segment 5: Snippits of interviews with various SmackDown! superstars talking about their chances of winning the number one contender's battle royal.

Segment 6: The WWE fans certainly made an odd choice here, having MVP (heel) and Finlay (face) team up against Matt Hardy (face) and Jamie Noble (heel). The faces and heels remained paired off most of the match...but it was obvious neither team could co-exist. Brawl eventually broke out, order could not be restored. No Contest.

Segment 7: JBL gave a interview/lecture/speech about the importance of seizing the opportunity and win the battle royal.

Segment 8: Undertaker made a chilling promo toward Big Daddy V. Even more chilling was that it was announced that their match would be a Buried Alive bout, not ending until one man was six feet under.

Segment 9: Big Daddy V and The Undertaker. Not much else to be said there. Crap match, but I foresaw an interesting spot in the end with Taker chokeslamming V into the hole and managing to bury V alive, the first time Taker came out victorious in a Buried Alive match.

Segment 10: The 20 superstars made their way into the ring - Finlay, Jamie Noble, Matt Hardy, MVP, Ric Flair, Deuce 'N Domino, The Daltons, The Major Brothers, Matt Striker, Chuck Palumbo, Jimmy Wang Yang, Funaki, Chris Masters, Shannon Moore, Kane, D'Lo Brown, and Val Venis. Theodore Long then came out and instructed the men to get out of the ring, because according to the WWE fans - the match would be a Reverse Battle Royal. The object being to get in the ring over the top rope, after 10 do so it becomes a normal battle royal.

Segment 11: Interesting concept, as everyone started beating the tar out of each other. Deuce managed to be the first one into the ring, and he helped his partner Domino in as well. Matt Hardy got in, as did Kane. In somewhat of a surprise, Jimmy Wang Yang got in. Matt Striker snuck his way in, followed by Finlay. Val Venis fought his way in. Ric Flair got in to WOOOOs from the crowd.

MVP and Jamie Noble tried their best to get in as the final spot, but Hardy and Finaly simply wouldn't allow them to get in. Of all people, HORNSWOGGLE emerged from under the ring, climbed up the turnbuckle unnoticed, and was declared the 10th and final man into the ring.

Yang was the first man bundled out by Venis and Striker. Deuce and Domino picked up Hornswoggle and easily tossed him over. Soon, both men were double-clotheslined out by Finlay. On the other side of the ring, Val Venis was sent packing by Kane. Kane got into a mean streak, also eliminating Finlay and Matt Hardy. Matt Striker tried to negotiate with Flair. The two men shook, but the dirtiest player in the game then poked him in the eyes and chucked him out.

Down to Kane and Flair. The two battled for several minutes with a lot of near finishes. Both men reeled on the ropes when BATISTA came from behind and shoved them both over. Batista wasn't in the match though, and he ruined a good fight. How will this be resolved?
