Wow. I have not seen that in years! I love you tube! I'm seeing so many clips like that, that I haven't seen since childhood thanks to you tube. I remember watching the above when I was a boy. In fact, I think I video taped that. Actually, I know I did. I'm pretty sure the tape is lost now though or was most likely recorded over. Anyway, I think I was about eleven at the time. That was 1994 right? Yeah, it was. Cause Backlund and Hart fought at Survivor Series 94'.

Anywoo, I recall when I was younger, I hated Bob Backlund but loved Bret Hart. I especially hated Backlund's comments about dyslexia since it was recently discovered I had visual dyslexia and I was a little chubby at the time too so I hated the diet comment as well. He was actually right with everything he said. I didn't have the strengh to even go on a diet until almost twelve years after that interview, but that's the thing about bad guy wrestlers...we hate them cause they tell the truth for the most part.

I had never heard of Backlund before his comeback to the WWF in 1993. He was before my time and I thought he was too old to be wrestling...which is very ironic since many, many years later as a young man I'd find myself cheering and supporting (both as a mark and a smark) for the older wrestlers I grew up on like Hulk Hogan and booing the younger guys. I guess that's cause in the world of children, I'm an old guy now too.
