To be honest, I think they had a nice two year run, which is a long time in today's wrestling business. They won titles, made an impact, were involved in some memorable matches and angles. I wouldn't call it underrealized. They had a good run, and it ended at about the right time.
The only thing that could have made a difference would be if they had added new members. Maybe when Orton and Batista broke away, Trips and Flair could have brought in two new young guys and led a feud between the new-look Evolution against Orton and Batista. That might have been a missed opportunity, but other that that I can't see much to complain about with Evolution's run.
