If they don't press any charges the new cycle will probably be less then that. What pushed this one was the imediate statement by (I forget if it was the owner or the team president) but it condemed him a guilty before anything had been decided. Rather then the usual "we'll wait and see the findings" it was a "he let this organization down" etc...
That being said, even once the "new cycle" is over, it will effect endorsment deals, also I would assume if they report it was weed, I'd expect a 1st time offense 4-game suspension from the nfl.
