Very possible. Notre Dame beating USC could have major effects and you call it flukes, i dont know what i call them. Not flukes. I dont think Notre Dame beating USC would be a fluke, but now that you mentioned it, Its hard to say who would jump over who if Texas wins the Big 12 championship and Notre Dame beats USC and Michigan loses to OSU.

Also, What happens if Michigan beats OSU at the end of the season?

Does OSU really get knocked out of the National Championship game, because of a late loss?
