Favorite Wrestling Book
 

I have a decent amount of wrestling books and they all are really good. I was wondering what y'alls favorite wrestling book is.

To me it is a toss-up between 3:

Have A Nice Day, Foley Is Good, and Death Of WCW.

The Death of WCW is definitely my favorite wrestling book by far. Turning the Tables was pretty good, too.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard anything about Ryder's and Gordon's books being cancelled? They both appeared to be on Amazon the other day, and now they are gone completely.

Are you talking about Hardcore History: "The Extremely Unauthorized Story of ECW"?

I have been debating between getting that or the WWE's "Rise + Fall Of ECW" book, but I don't know if either is really worth it.

The Hardcore Diaries was a huge disappointment. While it still had the Foley charm and a really interesting look into WWE; it was just not as easy to read as the other 2 Foley books. I can hardly put the 1st two books down, but Hardcore Diaries took me awhile to read. It is probably my least favorite book I own.

I loved WrestleCrap. I have Death of WCW, but I haven't read the whole thing yet.

Have A Nice Day, followed closely by Death Of WCW.

Death of WCW was great. I have both "Tirbutes" by Meltzer and I recommend those. Although I've been looking everwhere around the apartment for the 1st one and can't find it.

Foley's was awesome (Have a Nice day) and I'll prob read it again when I'm at the beach all next week.

Hmmm, i wanna read Hooker, so if you wanna lend me a coupla hundred I;m happy. Such a shame we can't get Marty Jannetty to release a book , or an independent Nash or Hall book. I'm sick of reading kayfabed autobiographies *Cough* The Rock*cough...

Favourite? I did like Lawlers for a throwaway, Have a Nice Day was something I didn't put down till I finished it, and the Diana Hart book was a good insight, but horribly skewed...

Obviously "Big Apple Takedown" is the greatest ever.

I own Journey Into Darkness and not even I will touch that Big Apple book.

Pure Dynamite and In The Pit With Piper are very good. Both of Bobby Heenan's books are brilliant. RD Reynolds' books are both interesting and funny (but if you already know the subject matter he is covering pretty well, he offers nothing new other than a chance to laugh at the things you probably laughed at during the time anyway)

Have A Nice Day is, and will most likely forever be, the most in-depth, detailed and (probably) honest wrestling book out there... if you only ever read one wrestling book ever, it should be Have A Nice Day.

As a side note, did you know Roddy Piper's book was originally supposed to be called 'If You're Gonna Die, Kid, Die In The Ring... It's Good For Business'

I'm guessing the publishers made him change it.

One of the moments in my hometown was mentioned in Death of WCW: The Phantom TV Title Changes.

No, Turning the Tables is yet another book on ECW, covering a more common ground, rather than the WWE version covered in Rise and Fall, which is a pretty uneventful read if you've already watched the DVD, and Hardcore History, which is of the Forever Hardcore camp.

Supposedly, Tod Gordon is releasing a book detailing his take on things, although it's been pushed back a few times and is now off of Amazon completely. Bob Ryder is also putting out a book on the subject of his time in all three companies, although it, too, is now gone from Amazon.
