Going to be tough for Heyman and Reigns to top the painting Omega has of himself and Don Callis at his house.

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 08:28 PM

When was the last time a Corbin feud wasn't boring and actually benefited or made the other person look good?

This feud with Dominik so far hasn't really checked either of those boxes.

erickman 02-05-2021 08:40 PM

wow when was the last time he did the swing

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 08:42 PM

Bryan vs. Cesaro was pretty good.

Laughed at Bryan having weed leaves on his trunks and boots.

erickman 02-05-2021 08:51 PM

billy kay is gold on the mic

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 08:56 PM

 at Billie Kay quickly switching from being pals with the Riott Squad to trying to be pals with Bayley.

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 09:05 PM

Guess WWE really loved the pirate ship style videos they did for last year's Mania since this year's Mania hype video is basically the same thing style and format wise.

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 09:11 PM

Poor Reginald, got whipped for just stating what probably will happen to Bianca against Sasha at Mania. Also having a black guy get whipped during Black History month seems a bit messed up but then again WWE invited infamous N word user Hulk Hogan to tonight's show.

Also that leather dress Sasha was wearing was way too tight and small for her. Wonder how long it took her to put it on. At least a good 30 minutes or so.

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 09:20 PM

That might have been the most annoying Street Profits have been on the mic with the mini-screen stuff during the Otis & Gable vs. Ziggy & Roode match.

Then again at least they were a ton more energetic than Cole & Graves usually are on commentary.

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 09:29 PM

Well that was a very anti-climatic use of Hogan.

WWE promoted him talking about his famous match against Andre on SNME 33 years ago and all he did was say one sentence about it calling Andre stinky and just blabbered about Edge afterwards.

joshwoodsrohfandm 02-05-2021 09:33 PM

Edge talking to Shinsuke backstage;

Edge vs Reigns has to be the match; i mean let's face it---the story these guys can tell behind both personalities is all we ever hope to get. Drew just doesn't work for me, and Reigns has grown a lot as a heel; only fitting they match up? EDGE REIGNS--is it gonna happen?

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 09:47 PM

IC title match was pretty good.

If it wasn't for the rumors of Edge vs. Reigns at Mania, Big E vs. Reigns would have been my pick for Reigns match at Mania. Maybe even have both titles on the line since you could go in multiple directions afterwards.

joshwoodsrohfandm 02-05-2021 10:00 PM

Was this a swerve?

Edge looked to be choosing reigns and Kevin Owens stuns Reigns and the show ends like are we getting Finn Balor and Edge? Really? I was hoping for Reigns Edge or maybe they are doing that just teasing other choices.

Emperor Smeat 02-05-2021 10:01 PM

 at the show ending with Owens attacking Reigns.

Seeing as there are still 2 more PPV events till Mania, WWE probably going to milk this Edge decision stuff until the last minute.

Show itself was mostly fine this week. Had a rough part for a good chunk of the 2nd hour but was mostly enjoyable overall.

Volare 02-06-2021 12:32 PM

Cesaro and Bryan....clinic for the ages. Also got "Orton Vibes" when Cesaro won this.

Cesaro is so god damn good.

joshwoodsrohfandm 02-07-2021 10:17 AM

Smackdown is the best show which is not surprising and I love it every week. Raw seems to be the slouch of the two; just lazy writing and boring drew leading the way. I hope we get edge and reigns for the universal championship.

screech 02-07-2021 10:17 AM

Are they actually going to push Cesaro this time? Don't wanna get my hopes up.

Wish they would. He always has moved so smooth in the ring. Felt like he had a good grip on the cocky heel persona too. Feel like he could do bigger things than what he's doing now.

Lock Jaw 02-07-2021 11:36 AM

Feel like it is "far too late" for Cesaro... instead of this doing anything for him, it is more like "Oh, Daniel Bryan has really fallen far".

D-Bry indeed a far cry from his heights... with the bland generic colour trunks and back to the short hair and beard.... he's probably happy as a clam just rassling having great matches with Cesaro.... but seems like he is just so far from being the "main event guy" right now...

screech 02-07-2021 02:33 PM

The Rumble could've been a good chance to give him the "iron man" push. The guy who doesn't win but lasts a long time and racks up eliminations. Instead he came out at what, 28? Seemed like he was building momentum leading to...I don't know, something.

XL 02-07-2021 04:05 PM

Couldn’t take awake from Edge being the Iron Man.

screech 02-07-2021 07:52 PM

Yeah that's true. Just seemed like he was poised for a bigger night, I guess.

Lock Jaw 02-07-2021 08:01 PM

Guess I have not been watching/reading results.... but didn't he lose to Cesaro before the Rumble too, and in general not being involved in anything important? How was he "poised"?

screech 02-07-2021 08:12 PM

Cesaro was winning on SD leading to the rumble. Commentary was really "putting him over" too.

Emperor Smeat 02-07-2021 11:15 PM

Yes and no based on recent rumors involving his new deal with WWE.

He's not going to get any big pushes but likely won't be handled as bad as before since WWE wants him in a Daniel Bryan type role to help build new and/or younger potential big stars for the Blue brand.

Supposedly him and not Nakamura was originally meant to get that rub from the Gauntlet match a few weeks back but because he didn't sign a new deal at that point, that's why they went with Nakamura in case Cesaro decided to leave.

I think you’re talking about Bryan here. Screech was talking about Cesaro being the “iron man”.

Really expected Bryan to be getting his win back on Friday so pleasantly surprised when Cesaro won. Seems they’re in a weird bind on SmackDown where Roman is so far ahead of the rest of the roster in terms of positioning (which is great). They have Bryan who could be switched on as the next babyface challenger at any point but he’s obviously keen to be giving other guys the rub. Do you propel Cesaro far enough by having him beat Bryan repeatedly?

drave 02-08-2021 08:09 AM

You can have Cesaro propelled by giving him a shot. I think he'd have a decent go at Reigns, and with a lesser known "moveset" it'd be fun as hell. Cesaro is freakishly strong and could make both himself and Reigns look amazing.

Lock Jaw 02-08-2021 08:19 AM

Pound-for-pound, Cesaro has to be the strongest WWE Superstar on the roster!!

Lock Jaw 02-08-2021 08:20 AM

Hate when they say that..... and they say it every Cesaro match.

drave 02-08-2021 08:20 AM

Commentary can make or break someone in some ways, and it is bad they do that.

Mr. Nerfect 02-08-2021 08:35 AM

SmackDown has been damn good lately. I’m going to credit Bryan. He consistently has the best match of the week, plus he seems to have lobbied for really talented guys to get some shine.

Was surprised by how good Dominik looked. I don’t care for him yet, and it’s still weird thinking of him as a wrestler, but he was a lot less clunky than I thought he would be.

joshwoodsrohfandm 02-08-2021 10:37 AM

Ya know? I was thinking that they should just refer to edge as the "PG Superstar" cause we're not in that rated r era anymore.

In all seriousness; Edge looking on as Owens STUNS Reigns was crazy cool because the expression said everything; hope he picks reigns.

Mr. Nerfect 02-08-2021 03:23 PM

I’ve never been the biggest Edge fan in the world, but his work since coming back has been amazing. The guy is there to work and for whatever reason, even though he should be rusty, he’s been arguably “better” than he ever was.

Imagine how amazing Christian would be if he came back?

we will do this thread

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 08:13 PM

Baring a last minute addition, bit surprised there won't be a Women's Elimination Chamber match this year.

3 Chamber matches would have been overkill although don't really need the Universal and WWE to both have a Chamber match.

erickman 02-12-2021 08:13 PM

roman heels his way out of the chamber

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 08:26 PM

Holy shit at Domink's head after that suicide dive on the outside.

Overshot the dive and smashed face first into the edge of the table.

erickman 02-12-2021 08:31 PM

thats a surprise win, i figured ray would be in the chamber

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 08:32 PM

Yeah Rey & Dominik would have been a way more entertaining pair to put in the Chamber than Sami & boring Corbin.

Tag match was pretty good though.

slik 02-12-2021 08:44 PM

I actually have SD on for once in the background...

My guess is KO wins the EC and then loses to Roman later in the night, then Edge comes out and challenges Roman to WM.
Edge/Christian vs Roman/Jey at Fastlane, Edge vs Roman at WM

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 08:46 PM

Don't think Big E knows what an "open challenge" means if Apollo Crews isn't allowed to partake in the open part.

Also that banter between Big E & Apollo at the end was a bit weird. Like WCW style Goldberg "not following the script" moment with how it played out.

erickman 02-12-2021 08:53 PM

why is the locker room going to the ring i thought seth was a heel.

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 08:54 PM

:| at Big E vs Nakamura ending via DQ.

WWE going overboard with the amount of DQ and non-finishes for big and/or interesting matches in recent times is why its been hard to remain invested in their shows since they keep doing this stupid shit with their booking.

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 09:00 PM

Guess the Messiah business wasn't that profitable for Rollins since he's back to his old theme.

Nevermind, he's still a cult leader.

erickman 02-12-2021 09:00 PM

ok they went down there just to leave

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 09:17 PM

Graves is right, why is Cole upset at Billie Kay when it was Ruby who tossed Kay's resumes into the ring.

Not Kay's fault that Ruby has greasy hands that caused the big distraction and Liv's loss.

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 09:30 PM

Street Profits vs. Gable & Otis was a nice fun match. Best match on the show so far.

erickman 02-12-2021 09:35 PM

a hole

xrodmuc316 02-12-2021 09:36 PM

You can tell Vince told Bianca to black it up a bit more since the Rumble win. Dancing for no reason lol

erickman 02-12-2021 09:41 PM

thought my hole was covered up

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 09:41 PM

That Women's promo segment stunk.

Guess WWE changed their minds about Nia Jax screaming about her hole not being PG since they aired the clip uncensored on tonight's show.

I have never noticed before that KO sort of looks like an angry garden gnome
Could be a potential new gimmick to explore in 2021

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2021 10:02 PM

Ziggy & Roode vs. Cesaro & Bryan was very good.

SD's Elimination Chamber match looks way more interesting on paper than RAW's WWE title one in terms of potential directions for Mania afterwards.

This week's show was mostly very entertaining overall.

slik 02-12-2021 10:07 PM

I guess you could say Nia Jax is really the hole package

They're gonna break up the Riott Squad again aren't they? Because who needs actual women's tag teams in a division with women's tag belts?

Emperor Smeat 02-13-2021 04:45 PM

Women's tag titles are more useless than the 24/7 title.

At least with R-Truth being the center of the 24/7 title division, its led to a goldmine of comedic moments and laughter.

WWE's shown they barely care at all about the Women's Tag titles and division unless its Sasha & Bayley holding it. Even those two were not immune considering their 2nd reign had its fair share of booking issues.

screech 02-14-2021 02:13 PM

Watching now. Usually don't like the opening talkie segments, but I've enjoyed the Reigns stuff so much I don't really mind.

Corbin vs Mysterio family is so boring. Zero interest.

Heel Apollo is the most interesting he's ever been.

Dominik feels like an afterthought these days compared to the very hot start he had early into the Mysterio Family vs. Rollins & Murphy feud.

WWE blundered big time by pushing him to the side for the terrible Murphy & Aalyah romance stuff and sticking him right after into a typical boring Corbin feud.

Emperor Smeat 02-19-2021 08:25 PM

Seems King Corbin might be getting some competition soon as the ruler of the Blue Brand if that reference from Apollo Crews about having Nigerian royalty ancestry is any indication.

Emperor Smeat 02-19-2021 08:38 PM

That's 2 shows in a row this week where WWE did a steps spot and stretcher job.

First on NXT a couple days ago and now on SD.

Emperor Smeat 02-19-2021 08:52 PM

Did the medic get lost or something backstage?

That might have set a record for longest amount of time between a stretcher job and rolling up to the ambulance.

Emperor Smeat 02-19-2021 09:09 PM

That Bayley's talk show segment easily is a strong contender for worst WWE segment of the year.

Also worst segment on SD since either the Jeff Hardy piss test segment with Sheamus or Corbin & Pals attacking Roman Reigns with dog food.

 at Reginald beating Nia Jax in a tag match via Nia being too fat to kick out.

Reginald being a face during that match and Bayley's talk show was weird. Wouldn't be surprised at all if his sudden friendship with Banks really is meant to be a face turn and not some sneaky swerve.

Are they setting up an Edge heel turn or something. Reginald's being super creepy, but Sasha being as fine as she is, I can sort of understand

:| Mysterios vs. Gable & Otis ending via DQ.

Also :| at Otis turning heel.

Tonight's show has sucked a lot so far.

OMG they really are teasing a face turn for Reginald based on that segment with Carmella.

Corbin, Uso, & Zayn vs. Bryan, Cesaro, & Owens was very good.

 at WWE production crew screwing up the post-match surprise attack spot by Corbin since they didn't cut to the match replay quick enough. Even commentary ruined the surprise by mentioning Corbin when they shouldn't have.

As a regular show, this week's SD was mostly meh but as a go-home show it mostly stunk. Only thing I'd recommend would be the main event 6-man tag.

First time in a long while where RAW was actually the better show of the two for the week.
