Bobby Jaggers passes away

"Hangman" Bobby Jaggers passed away Sunday from renal failure and various health issues. He was 64 years old.

Throughout his 19-year career, Jaggers was a journeyman wrestler who competed in various territories including the Pacific Northwest (where he began his career in 1972), Memphis, Kansas City, Amarillo (after Dory Funk, Jr. saw him in Kansas City), San Francisco, Louisiana, Vancouver, Atlanta (where he teamed with Hulk Hogan), Knoxville, Florida, Mid-Atlantic, and Puerto Rico. He was also known as one-half of the Kansas Jayhawks with Dutch Mantel.

Before getting into pro wrestling, he served in the U.S. Army for a year and a half in Vietnam. He was in the "A" Battery of the 1/30 Artillery 1st Calvary, and fought in battles in Hue, Khe Saah, A-Shau Valley, and the Tet offensive.

Retired from the sport in 1991, Jaggers worked for the state of Kansas as an engineering tech. Recently, he was working at Kansas' Department of Homeland Security as a road and bridge specialist.

R.I.P. Booby Saggers. :(

Shisen Kopf 10-03-2012 07:03 PM

Next to Tumbtack Jack and Brad Hamilton, he's the third best rassler I've mentioned in this thread. RIP Mick Jagger.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-03-2012 07:05 PM

Brad Hamilton! He's the future.

RIP to Bobby Jaggers although I've never heard of em.

Skippord 10-03-2012 07:26 PM

RIP Jaggermeister

Shisen Kopf 10-03-2012 08:33 PM

In all seriousness though RIP to this living legend. He was the best wwf champion in the history or rasslin. His matches with hulk hogan were epic.

Shisen Kopf 10-03-2012 08:35 PM

Oh wait that was Andre the Giant and Macho Man I'm confusing him with. Sorry.

Curd 10-03-2012 08:39 PM

I suppose Bobby was able to secure a job within the Kansas DHS due to his relatively low profile. If John Cena applied to work for DHS post-retirement, then he might be declined due to being too well known / a public target.

Seth82 10-03-2012 11:36 PM

you should've known none of these folks would know who he is.

Figures, but at least he's one of the few that got out when it was his time.

He was best back in the day when he went to Japan and rassled as Taco Stand Dan. His matches against Dragon Samurai Ninja Warlord were very very epic. But now they are dead. RIPs

Actually, Dragon Samurai Ninja Warlord is still alive, but had to retire after tearing a muscle in his hair. He now delivers pizzas.

Bobby Jaggers wore briefs to ward off the nickname "Bobby Saggers."

REST IN PEACE BOBBY BROWN

Shisen Kopf 10-05-2012 07:15 AM

We should induct Bobby Bowden into the tpww obscure rassler hall of fame. Also, RIP Vicky Venom.

Skippord 10-05-2012 07:36 AM

How dare you lump that trash Vicky Venom in with Bobby Pin

Shisen Kopf 10-05-2012 07:57 AM

But Vicky Venom and the now dead Bobby Sock used to hang out and were Taco Bell buddies.

Corporate CockSnogger 10-05-2012 10:39 AM

Makes me miss having the Bobby Carrot game on my phone.

DAMN iNATOR 10-05-2012 10:51 AM

another classy thread here at tpww

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-07-2012 12:31 AM

He knew what he was getting into posting a RIP about a guy nobody knows Weapon X. He probably wanted Bobby to be trashed since he should have known it was coming.

No, you're dead wrong about that notion, Damon. I wanted to show respect and tribute to the wrestlers that came before our time, because like it or not, without them, the sport wouldn't be where it's it today. Is he a top guy? No, but he's one of many that helped paved the way.

Rammsteinmad 10-07-2012 04:52 PM

No he's not. That's like saying I paved the way for future mathematicians because I went to school and learned the answer to 2X2.

You act like he's Bruno Sammartino or Georgeous George or something. If he around today, he'd be some bum in ROH or at the very best Yoshi Tatsu. Only not a jap. In 30 years will you be posting threads like "RIP, The Goon"?

Shisen Kopf 10-08-2012 09:59 AM

My favorite crappy metal band was Slaughterhouse.

Shisen Kopf 10-08-2012 10:26 AM

One armed guys cannot be trusted. Just look at that bastard Claus Von Staffenburg, fucking traitor!

Bad News Gertner 12-13-2012 12:51 AM

It has been two months and 10 days since we lost this dead legend

itsmeJD 12-13-2012 12:53 AM

and yet I've still yet to see the body to prove he's actually gone.

Long live Jaggers.

Bad News Gertner 12-13-2012 12:55 AM

Remember when DLVH posted the Jessie Ventura died? He pretty much lost all credibility with me.
