AEW scouted well on Jade. They must have a lot of confidence in her instead of using a more experienced woman to team with the celebrity Shaq.

He hosts an NBA highlight show on TNT, which is the same channel that AEW is on, and he seemingly has an "itch" to wrestle, so this match happened... There wasn't really much of a big build or reason why they are wrestling each other. The woman on Shaq's team just interrupted a Cody Rhodes promo one time a few months ago and basically challenged Cody to a match

AEW is cool... doesn't "insult your intelligence" really and doesn't seem like it's a show written for little kids... They seem to plan things out in advance in a usually coherent manner instead of seemingly booking their shows the night before and constantly making nonsensical decisions on the whims of Vince McMahon
