Starting Utopia right now

I'd forgotten how good Scrubs was back in the day; season 1 took five or six episodes to find itself but once it did the rest of the season was absolute gold.

They still show Scrubs on UK tv, but it is so heavily edited that the joy is taken out of the episodes.

The bastards at Amazon have upped the price of the seasons from £4.99 to £17.99, so I'll only be watching the first two seasons until they (presumably) go down in price again around Xmas.

You should spend money on Friends or Cheers next, they just don't get the airtime.

When the monkey changed his TV to Spanish and he couldn't get it back to English...classic.

So utopia is not at all what I was expecting but it is pretty good anyways.

So we’ve discovered this new show on Netflix (UK) called Modern Family. Already on Season 2 Episode 17. It’s great. You guys should check it out.

Finished Star Wars: Rebels season 4... one of the finest Star Wars related things made. The story of these Rebels so much better than any in the movies....

I'm currently on the fourth season of Hell on Wheels, and I'm about two or three episodes into the final season of Penny Dreadful.

Finally got around to watching the end of The Good Place. Really great, sweet ending. Gf was crying through most of it. Nicely done little gem, especially for a network TV show, for those of you who haven't seen it.

Baylee's Chronicle

This was great. I'm going to watch it again.
It's a comedy/mystery/horror with some lovely camaraderie in it. The performances are solid, nobody stretches too far so it rolls along at an amiable pace and you can enjoy the jokes because they aren't coming at you too thick and fast.

Reviews seem to be a little wishy washy but for my money it hit the right spot at the right time.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost created and wrote it apparently. Simon Pegg plays a supporting character but he's put to good use.

I am genuinely excited for this one.

Went back through WAYNE since it has been unceremoniously dumped onto Amazon Prime with little fanfare. It was another one of those "YouTube Original" shows, but since it wasn't Cobra Kai, the company had the bright idea of not really advertising it at all.

Shame, really, because it is worth a watch. I'd venture to say that if you like Shameless, you'd like this.

Hopefully you will find it as endearing as I do.
It was very well put together, the director also did Stag that crazy British stag-do camping horror.

This was pretty good. I didn't really like the main character at first but she grew on me pretty quickly.
Decent story and the cast is generally great. Different enough from anything else that it seems new.

Really good so far, two more eps to go. All the acting is really good and I haven't figured out the murder mystery yet.

Started watching the final season of Clone Wars. Really good so far.

Watching "Tales From The Crypt" episodes.
Never seen this before beyond clips or as a reference.

First episode I chose is great in premise but there's a terribly racist charicature of a Jamaican stoner that would pretty much doom it nowadays.

The episode ends on a pretty brilliant note.
They even fix the stereotype issue.

I've finished the third and final season of Penny Dreadful. It was the weakest of the three seasons, and I'm not quite sure if it was a fitting end to the series as a whole; I felt rather underwhelmed by it.

I'm currently half-way through the fifth and final season of Hell on Wheels.

What a ripoff..... found out a channel here is airing the new Animaniacs.... but we only get the channel in SD here.... trying to see if I can find it online somewhere instead....

Hulu? Its like $6 bucks. Shit - usually you can get a free trial. You can watch all of the new episodes and cancel during the free trial.

Final season of clone wars was incredible. They should just make Star Wars TV shows from now on, because they've been some of the best content in the franchise.

They really put a lot into the budget too. At times you'd be forgiven for thinking it was a blockbuster theatrical film.

More pumped than ever now to see Ahsoka in the Mandalorian.

Haven't watched the final season yet.... finished up Rebels pretty much when Madalorian started... Then took a break to watch The Boys, and to also finish the book I was reading.... I'm still on season 2 of The Boys, haven't watched in awhile.... I should finish it before my free trial month ends actually.... which I don't actually know when that is so I should check.

Binge watched the last dance. Great stuff. Was a huge Jordan fan as a kid during his second run. It was cool getting to relive that but also hear the stories going on behind the scenes. It also just made me love Jordan more.

I finished the final season of Hell on Wheels. The first three seasons are the best, and then it kind of lost something in the final two, but remained watchable. Anson Mount and Colm Meaney were great throughout.

I think they did the character, The Swede, a disservice. He was such a great character in the early seasons, but the last couple of seasons and his end just weren't fitting for the man.

I'm going to move on to the fifth (and final?) season of The Magicians, and the fifth season of Arrow.

The Last Narc on Amazon was a really good doc that goes into detail about Kiki Camerena's death at the hands of the Mexican cartel and brings to light a conspiracy theory that the US knew about/was involved in his murder.

Watching The Vow on HBO.

Most overrated show/movie of 2020

There’s a 30 Rock marathon on this weekend and I’ve been checking in every so often. Is this the rate the tv show thread? No? Ok.

30 Rock - 105%

I don’t think I’d argue that 30 Rock is the greatest tv show ever, but I can’t think of anything that made me laugh as hard from episode 1 to the finale and lasted as long as it did.

Just an absolute joke machine.

30 Rock was a fantastic show.

30 Rock was a superior sitcom.
Highlights include Jason Sudeikis getting drunk on fish and Paul Reubens playing an inbred European prince.
My favourite episode is Gavin Velour because they wrung an 80's performance out of modern Steve Martin which is a task once believed impossible.

The joke writing g was extremely high level. Nearly up there with Arrested Development.

Historia de un crimen: Colosio

Crime dramadetailing the assassination of former Mexico presidential candidate, Luis Donaldo Colosio, and the fallout, including Tijuana cops digging deeper believing it's a set up.

I needed to scratch my Narcos itch, and while this isn't quite that level, it's produced and acted with the same efforts and style. So far so good.

This is the great debate. Arrested Development was a shooting star shimmering through the sky for 3 legendary seasons of non stop comedy. But 30 Rock lasted for over a 100 more episodes and at its peak was just as funny.

Can't wait for Cobra Kai III! Will come in January. I finished watching all episodes and all seasons of Eastbound and Down a few weeks ago. That show is one of the most underrated shows of all-time. Hence, my handle name on here. I've also been watching the last few seasons of Law and Order SVU on You Tube. The new Saved by the Bell series has also piqued my interest.

I really enjoyed the first season of You. I thought the second was started off well but kind of tailed in the end. I don't think the girlfriend becoming a psycho in the 2nd season was a really good fit and seemed kind of like a 'rushed' storyline.

I didn't think Messiah was too bad. I wouldn't say I loved it, but I did enjoy it a fair amount.

I watched another series as well back in early 2020', but I can't remember now.

Been watching some old clips of Perfect Strangers on You Tube from the 80's and forgot just how good that show really was. People talk about the greatness of Balki (which he was), but Mark Lynn Baker was also exceptional on the show. He played the neurotic big city boy down to a tee. In many ways, Larry Appleton was George Costanza before George Costanza was George Costanza. ;).

Little known fact - Family Matters was technically a spin-off of Perfect Strangers. Harriete Winslow was first introduced in Perfect Strangers as being a part of Larry's Bowling team if I'm not mistaken.

Tracy's movie posters and Frank's hats were always there for a solid background gag. I liked the sun-tea gag where it turned out to be jars of Frank's piss.

His relationship with older cleaning women was a real highlight.

Finally watched the last two episodes of The Boys S2... damn at that end

I got back into re-watching The Pretender. It was one of those few shows I'd watch with both of my parents. It always upset me that there was never a proper conclusion.
