Sets up Lashley/Big E rematch for WM (presumably) and Roman/Brock

Big E out here losing clean to Seth Rollins on RAW so I think he can be crossed off the WM main-event list

Triple A 01-10-2022 11:48 PM

Seems like they "actually tried" to make Raw a decent show tonight based on the results... stuff happening, etc.

GD 01-10-2022 11:51 PM

It’s an absolute delight to see Lesnar cut promos again. Cut deep into Lashley.

Triple A 01-11-2022 12:11 AM

smh @ when a bunch of people hated Lesnar and didn't want him on TV a couple of years ago... smfh... The best and most interesting wrestler they have by far

GD 01-11-2022 12:16 AM

I’m biased. He’s the reason why I started rewatching Smackdown in 2002. Sheer physical charisma like no other

Evil Vito 01-11-2022 06:53 AM

Don’t have to figure out how to get Doudrop thrown over the top rope if you don’t put her in the Rumble match.

Otis pinned Orton clean with a body slam. The commentator then proceeded to explain “stunned silence in Philadelphia!!” but of course there’s piped in crowd noise. Classic stuff.

Lock Jaw 01-11-2022 06:42 PM

Was just thinking about Orton the other day and how it feels like it has been a long time since the last time he was in the main events/in contention for the world titles.... he used to be one of THE guys.

Lock Jaw 01-11-2022 06:45 PM

I guess last time was Wrestlemania 33 in 2017

He was WWE Champion in 2020, beat Drew clean in Hell in the Cell.

Lock Jaw 01-11-2022 07:16 PM

Yeah, but who remembers that

GD 01-11-2022 07:50 PM

I remember. It was a big deal.

WHY DIDN’T ANYONE MAKE A THREAD ABOUT ALPHA ACADEMY WINNING THE TAG TITLES?!?!?!

Lock Jaw 01-14-2022 05:33 PM

Was wondering when Noid would find out....

Sepholio 01-17-2022 08:02 PM

Beckys 3d model for her intro is kinda creepy and they need to get rid of it.

Sepholio 01-17-2022 08:03 PM

Seth v Lashley tonight. I can dig it.

The fact that there is a literal Disney movie about Veer emigrating from his homeland to try to build his baseball career and it not only has never been mentioned, but he's actively being paid to not show up to his wrestling job for months on end is both sad and hilarious.

Feel like any other promoter from the '30s and on would've given him a lariat as a finisher and be running straight to the bank wanting THE MAN WITH THE MILLION DOLLAR ARM on their posters.

drave 01-25-2022 09:40 AM

Wait what? The real person behind Veer is one of those fellas? Crazy.

Evil Vito 01-25-2022 09:52 AM

Yep, he was in the Pittsburgh Pirates system. Shame it didn't work out.

Gerard 01-25-2022 10:16 AM

It's comical how totally fucking bereft of ideas wwe is, trotting out a scale and getting them to weigh in for no apparent reason. Last time I remember a scale was when big show and akebono were going to have their mania match, and that has to be around 15 years ago at this point.

Do you think it's possible that they are incapable of writing shows in a weeks notice? And so the creative aspect kinda goes out the window and they just recycle shit in the worst of ways?

I wish I could see what WWE's long term plans look like because I have a feeling they dont have any.

This is dumb whenever any company does this, wwe or not. You don't do weigh in for every match, or even every title match, but out of the blue we're going to randomly have one? What?

drave 01-25-2022 12:44 PM

Adjust the mentality of watching wrasslin to that of Whose Line Is It Anyway.

Welcome to WWE, where everything is made up and none of the titles matter.

drave 01-25-2022 12:45 PM

feel free to plug in any wrestling promotion there btw, before the WWE fellas get all excited.

Incapable of writing, period.

Same with contract signings, they trot those out on occasion and theyre the most pointless, predictable wastes of time ever. Only one I found amusing was when ambrose started moving stuff in the ring and said we all know where this is going. And do we have these imaginary contracts for every match or are they only fit for title matches when the "creative team" draw a blank on what to do next? Utter shite

Sepholio 01-25-2022 07:54 PM

Disagree on Lesnar/Lashley weigh in. I have always hated those and contract signings, but they are playing off of both of them being serious MMA fighters and this match being a real fight between them. This is probably the only time (at least in a long time) that a weigh in made sense in any way.

XL 01-26-2022 03:56 AM

Yeah I’ve got no issue with the weigh-in, or the principle of the contract signing. I always just figured it was “stuff that happened behind the scenes”. How they handle them creatively is another thing.
