The final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. starts this month.... so finally starting to watch the previous season.... I watched the premier when it aired and then didn't continue.... so finally just watched the second ep of the season....

Westworld season 3

(I skipped season 2)

Fantastic season. The last episode was insane and delivered in scope in a way the show hasn't done before. Aaron Paul was, of course, a fantastic addition to the show but the real star of season 3 is Evan Rachel Wood. In a show loaded with fantastic actors she tops them all in the finale.

Massive cliffhanger for season 4 in the post-credits scene too.

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-04-2020 06:50 AM

On to season 8 of The Walking Dead, along with season 3 of The Big C. The final season of The Last Ship is now available on Prime, so I'll be watching that as well.

Sepholio 05-04-2020 12:44 PM

The Midnight Gospel. Duncan Trussell is a trip. This whole show is a trip. Everything is a trip.

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-05-2020 12:26 PM

Purchased the new season of Westworld. I'll re-watch seasons 1 and 2 before starting the third, as it has been awhile since I saw either.

I'll finish season 8 of TWD before trekking through Westworld again.

Seanny One Ball 05-05-2020 01:12 PM

They should do a prequel series to Westworld where they show the horrendous abortions of sex-robot history.
You know the ones:

Finished the previous season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Am now ready for the final season

I enjoyed the season well enough, I think I just needed time to "get over" the fact that it made no sense anymore in the MCU timeline.

Seanny One Ball 05-09-2020 11:49 PM

Him & Her on BBC iPlayer. Forgot how hilarious this was.

Seanny One Ball 05-09-2020 11:50 PM

Also, Sarah Solemani is stunning.

Seanny One Ball 05-10-2020 12:06 AM

I love Russell Tovey, he's a scamp with a heart of gold. Britain's best gay.

Also disliked this. Anytime a show, even comic-based shows, get fucky with time, things get dumb.

To me, it's essentially a "Free Pass" to change anything they want, anytime they want, because tIMe TrAVeL.

The Flash annoyed me in Season 2 - never watched after that. Reverse Flash is the gayest thing ever.

Lock Jaw 05-10-2020 11:36 AM

I feel like the writers of the show weren't told what was gonna happen in Endgame so at the start of the season they skipped ahead a year thinking that that would make it so they didn't need to address anything. Then Endgame came out and skipped five years ahead and the tv writers were probably all "......Godammit"

drave 05-10-2020 07:10 PM

The Avengers thing was fucking stupid too. Oh, the bad guy won. Just kidding, now we know his plan, we can stop it.

Damian Rey 2.0 05-11-2020 01:54 PM

Watched Gentefied on Netflix. Thought it was hilarious.

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-12-2020 03:14 PM

Finished seasons 1 to 9 of The Walking Dead; I will have to wait until season 10 is on Prime before I can watch that one. The series definitely lost something after season 6, but I'm not quite sure what. It is still watchable, but definitely past its prime. I can't say I missed Rick once he was gone.

I'm going to finish the final season of The Last Ship and re-watch seasons 1 and 2 of Westworld before starting the new one. I'll probably watch seasons 1 to 4 of Fear the Walking Dead, though I saw the first season ages ago and thought the characters were 'blah' at best.

Seanny One Ball 05-13-2020 09:14 PM

What it lost was any semblance of credibility with the disappearance of its roots in reality and as a commentary on the human condition.
Season 7 onwards is a complete departure into fantasy and it feels like a different show altogether.

Sooooooo much this. I remember my wife caught the glimpse of the episode where Karl's mom (can't remember her name) was giving birth in the jail and Carl had to kill her. She wanted to watch it after that. She thought it was just a big zombie shoot em up show.

I told her it was more about the people and how they survive, etc. And that the zombies more or less feel like a side-piece. yeah...... shit should be on sci-fi now with things like "ICE SPIDERS!!!"

Lock Jaw 05-14-2020 11:15 AM

That one season that was like 90% scenes of humans shooting at other humans with barely anything else going on was too much for me.....

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-14-2020 01:13 PM

That would have been season 8.

Lock Jaw 05-14-2020 02:04 PM

Yeah.... just seemed like people just shooting at each other with very occasional dialog and story.

Lock Jaw 05-14-2020 02:08 PM

I remember being excited to watch that spinoff show "Fear the Walking Dead" because it was supposed to be about the early days of the virus just getting started... but then it feels like they barely spent any time on that and just all of a sudden society was collapsed and it was the exact same kind of show.

Wish they would re-do it now. Show society slowly collapsing. Have protests by people who refuse to believe it is happening, etc....

Lock Jaw 05-17-2020 04:40 PM

Just going through stuff that has been on my DVR forever.... watching the last half of the season of The Orville.... still weird how this show does Star Trek better than the modern Star Trek shows... (Although I haven't watched Star Trek: Discovery season 2, that is all sitting on my DVR too)

rez 05-17-2020 10:16 PM

Snowpiercer...first ep perdy good.

Emperor Smeat 05-20-2020 11:40 PM

Snowpiercer.

Caught the debut episode after tonight's Dynamite and enjoyed it a lot. If TNT keeps airing the repeats on Wednesdays then that's my new plan for Wednesday nights.

Lock Jaw 05-21-2020 12:34 AM

Finally watched the first episode of Legion Season 3..... About time I watched this final season...

Destor 05-21-2020 01:06 AM

I need to watch s3 too

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-21-2020 03:44 AM

Re-watched seasons 1 and 2 of Westworld; season 2 was definitely not as captivating as the first. I'm going to move on to season 3 in the next couple of days, but I think I will watch the final season of Versailles before I do that.

I'm slowly but surely getting through the first season of Fear the Walking Dead. It's only six episodes long, but I really don't care about any of the characters, especially the teenagers who all need to get bitten as soon as possible.

screech 05-21-2020 10:47 AM

Halfway through season 3 of Ozark, very much enjoying it

Destor 05-21-2020 10:48 AM

Ozark remains the highest quality writing you can find in long form television

Bad News Gertner 05-24-2020 06:33 PM

Finishing Sunderland Til I Die season 2.

Not as good as season 1

Bobholly138 05-24-2020 08:30 PM

Lets see....

The Conners-Decent sitcom/drama. Glad it is getting another season.
Goldbergs-Should have ended this a season ago.
Schooled-So much better than Goldbergs the past 2 years,so of course it gets cancelled.
Fresh off the Boat-It is over now. But a damn funny show.
American Housewife-Lost a step this past season.
Superstore-Really lost a step this season. Kinda hoping it is over now.

Pretty much everything else I watch is either old shows or Wrestling.

Lock Jaw 05-24-2020 08:35 PM

Damn.... didn't know Schooled got canceled until now.... was enjoying it, except for the fact I guess that I know the "90s timeline" a bit better, so it's like "Ok, now Star Wars Episode 1 is out? That's 1999, so the 1990-somethings should be pretty much over!"

I'm sure it is very much the same with The Goldbergs, but I guess the dates of when stuff happened or came out is fuzzier for me in the 80s so doesn't really bother me too much.

XL 05-25-2020 04:11 AM

Finished Westworld S3. Mad that we had a multi-page thread for S1. Better than S2.

We’re now watching Breeders, a comedy about parenthood. Pretty good stuff.

El Vaquero de Infierno 05-31-2020 07:50 AM

I've finished the final season of Versailles; not as gripping as the previous two seasons but still watchable.

I'm coming to the end of season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead; I still don't particularly care for any of the characters, but still find myself watching it.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back on Prime and I've nearly finished the first season. I think I watched the first two seasons when they were originally on, but for whatever reason did not continue watching thereafter.

I'm going to start season 3 of Westworld tonight, and once that is done I'm going to watch season 5 of Outlander.

XL 05-31-2020 01:09 PM

Watched S2 of The Orville. Good stuff.

Watched first episode of Avenue 5 starring Hugh Laurie. Only 5 episodes.

Lock Jaw 05-31-2020 10:30 PM

Just watched the latest episode of Harley Quinn..... "damn" @ this love triangle playing with my emotions.....

Lock Jaw 05-31-2020 10:38 PM

Went to go watch the premiere of Agents of SHIELD, but my DVR recorded the SD version. Gross.

EDIT- Watched it via streaming..... non-skippable commercials. Gross.

Seanny One Ball 06-04-2020 06:32 PM

New Norwegian horror anthology on Netflix "Bloodride". It's rare for me to watch foreign horror but I have been impressed with the Norwegian offerings Netflix has.

I'm only ten minutes in on the first episode but it's nice and strange, just not scary yet.

Seanny One Ball 06-04-2020 06:38 PM

The atmosphere reminds me of my beloved "Grimm" which is perfect.
I don't particularly like horror that only aims to terrify, a bit of humour and geniality is always nice, especially when it isn't only used to set up scares.

Seanny One Ball 06-04-2020 06:53 PM

Well, the ending of that first one was not good.

I dunno if I can sit through too many good stories with predictable or annoying endings. I like a good twist but don't sign post its presence and then lazily replace it with a less sensible one.
