But honestly, if someone loveable like Truth won it, I think he'd catch some steam. |
The 2011 one with 40 people where Santino almost won.... people would have been into him winning

Someone give me Vince McMahon's phone number. |
Watching NXT right now. Bronson Reed vs Swerve Scott. This should be a good one.

Swerve's neck on the apron. Yikes.

What I mean is, WWE is likely to try to push someone who has absolutely nothing going for them (think Virgil's big face turn and push), and then if it kinda looks like whoever wins maybe might build steam, Vince gets bored with the idea in about 30 days and it gets shitcanned and never talked about again until some future xxxth episode of RAW where the push is treated like an inside joke. |
Cena confirms he is out for WrestleMania this year
He's shooting a TV show in Vancouver until July, and it's not like he can just take a weekend to make a Mania appearance and come back. Canada's COVID protocols would necessitate a two week quarantine upon him getting back into the country, essentially shutting down the entire production. |
Tampa mayor coming under fire for allowing 25,000 fans at the Super Bowl. Lots of videos going around of nearby bars and clubs packed to the gills with maskless partiers. If there’s a big spike tied to the Super Bowl, I wonder if there will be pressure to stop fans from coming to Mania again.
If that happens, I imagine that like last year they won’t be holding Mania in a giant football stadium with no fans. The Tampa Bay Rays don’t play their first home game until April 9th so the Thunderdome should still be available. Otherwise, the Capitol Wrestling Center for Performance Center Mania II. |
For real? Tampa is letting 25,000 fans attend? In what world does that seem like a good idea? Or are the arenas that huge that they can social distance that?
|
It’s a big football stadium that has a normal gameday capacity of 65,000. Its relatively to space people out into clusters in the seating area. The bigger problem is the concession areas or moreso the surrounding businesses that have a flood of people due to thousands of out of towners being in for the game.

Only difference here is than Jane Castor is a Democrat and more likely to cave if pressure comes down from Biden’s COVID team.
Guess we’ll see how big of a super spreader Sunday is. |
Extra huge money bag then to solve that problem or the governor tries to override things like last time.
NFL shouldn't have been allowed to have that many people to begin with since they've been just as irresponsible with some of their handling during this pandemic. |
Halftime show will take place from the stands this year. Makes sense they wouldn't want to set up a stage mid-field during Covid when they couldn't spray after disassembling.
I wonder if The Weeknd will use the Pirate Ship in his halftime show and if so, will WWE be able to top how he uses it for WM. |
From a drone flyover on YT -- stage setup next to pirate ship so it is likely being used in the halftime show

That is wonderful. Love Molly Holly. Also love that The Hurricane got to break the news to her:

The Hurt Business is one of the best things in wrestling right now. Each member is missing something, but putting them together and adding such great presentation makes the faction as a whole look like stars.

Anyone know how many tickets WWE is putting on sale for Mania?

Also Nikki Bella said she's been enjoying missionary position lately because she's been tired after binge watching tv shows.

Yeah that number would be fine for the crowd visual aspect since that's a little under half capacity of what Raymand James Stadium can hold and more than what the NFL had for last month's Super Bowl.
WWE wanted a bigger number than the NFL solely for some shameless bragging rights during a pandemic. |
NXT's weekly programming deserves more eyeballs. Glad they're moving to another night.

I haven't watched any NXT since going to USA but it does have a very cool look right now.

WWE Network had a section up featuring Daniel Bryan matches labeling him as a 2021 Hall of Fame inductee, and it's since been removed.
I mean he's openly said he's in the midst of his final run as a full-time competitor and has teased that this year could be his last WrestleMania. But he's never indicated retirement was on his mind, and has said he'd prefer to keep wrestling now and then. Hall of Fame is usually something they reserve for people that are fully done or as close to it as you can be in wrestling. Even the part-timers they usually hold off on induction until they're near certain they won't be wrestling again, which is why someone like The Rock hasn't gone in yet or why Undertaker hasn't gone in all these years (almost certainly headlining Texas' class next year tho) |
He's going to AEW as soon as his contract is up.
