4 stars .... Megadeth's Endgame

Jorn - Spirit Black
9/10 Perhaps the greatest metal singer you've never heard of. |

Gabry Ponte - Gabry2o Some awesome stuff but a few boring parts take it down a bit 8/10 |
Haven't posted in this thread in like 2 months and have listened to 9823587235987235 albums since. I feel like everyone here has "extremely different" taste in music but neway, these are some of the albums I liked/listened to more than three times:
The Tallest Man on Earth - The Wild Hunt Acoustic "folk music" <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/pHe-C1sO9LM&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pHe-C1sO9LM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Nobunny - Love Visions "Punk"/"lo-fi" or something. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7Xk8vO_jTXE&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7Xk8vO_jTXE&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Future Islands - In Evening Air <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/okq0Y0Z8yL0&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/okq0Y0Z8yL0&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Wild Nothing - Gemini I like this album a whole lot. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wNdqU3fP5TI&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wNdqU3fP5TI&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Wavves - King of the Beach Couple of "mad blink-182-ish" songs on the album. Pretty good. Just leaked so none of the songs I wanted to post are anywhere, but this is the "single" I guess: <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mSwQb9AIbxE&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mSwQb9AIbxE&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Before Today <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hMNPWT6WDJQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hMNPWT6WDJQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> |
Jack Johnson - To The Sea
So Jack has been a summertime favorite of mine for several years. I didn't even know he had a new album come out. Must not publicize himself being that he owns his own label I guess he doesn't feel he needs to anymore. Anyways, I downloaded it. It is ok. Nothing will be as good as his first album (the next 2 had equally impressive songs). This one is just about as average as his last one...if not more so. 6/10 |
<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TmzjaEGeyfM&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TmzjaEGeyfM&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Allen-Lande: The Revenge Allen-Lande is Russell Allen of Symphony X and Jorn Lande of Jorn and Master Plan. 2 of Progressive Metal's great front men combining voices and forces for the sake of greatness. 11/10 (The extra 1 is for the Album Art.) I want to pick up their first one "The Battle" and the new one coming out soon "The Showdown". |
Kate Bush - The Sensual World
7.5/10 Does not reach the heights of Hounds of Love, but still a good album. |
Never much paid attention beyond hearing Starry Eyed a few times on the radio, but Ellie Goulding was AMAZING @ Glastonbury.
So, I got the album, "Lights". http://pressepeter.files.wordpress.c...ldingcover.jpg 7.5/10 Good album, best song imo is Salt Skin IMO it's "pop" and on that fact, it's nice there is good pop around, not all fucking rnb wannabes with fucking auto-tune. |
the bled - pass the flask
8.5/10 |
Weezer-The Green Album-5/10
I only like 2 of the songs on this album. |
Any liquid music fans out there? Fucking another awesome chill out album. If you're into IDM, chill out... got problem sleeping? CBL sort you again.
Carbon Based Lifeforms - Interloper http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/174s/45561333.jpg 9/10 - As awesome as always, 20 minutes is my current fave. Give it a listen free: http://www.last.fm/music/Carbon+Base...rms/Interloper |
Punch Brothers - Antifogmatic
8.5/10 It is not as challenging or ambitious as their first album, but still better than most of what is released. |
Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows
For now I'd give these... Les Fleurs du Mal 8.9/10 http://i45.tinypic.com/2h5rvxe.jpg La Chambre D'Echo – Where the Dead Birds Sing 8.5/10 http://i47.tinypic.com/3492p6o.jpg Es reiten die Toten so schnell (Vampire Sucking His Own Vein) 8/10 http://i45.tinypic.com/m75d9h.jpg Tales From The Inverted Womb 8.5/10 http://i50.tinypic.com/11hx942.jpg Dead Lovers Sarabande 1 7.7/10 http://i46.tinypic.com/snzyu0.jpg Dead Lovers Sarabande 2 7.7/10 http://i46.tinypic.com/34yahb8.jpg I liked them a lot :) |
Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes - 9 out of 10
awesome album to wake up too. in the same vein as The Shins & Fleet Foxes the unusual sounds and happy beat make this album a good listen while chillin' |
This is Hell - Weight of the World
9/10 |
The ArchAndroid - Janelle Monae
9/10...probably the freshest album of the year, in the R&B/Hip Hop/Soul category. Reminds me of when Gnarls Barkley came out. |
http://ellietreagust.files.wordpress...-cover-art.jpg
7/10 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...erOfficial.jpg 8/10 Love the Talkin' 2 Myself track. |
Bret Michaels- Custom Built
8/10, very good solo album from Bret Michaels, most of the tracks are enjoyable, I enjoyed it thoroughly |
|
Neil Young - After the Gold Rush 8/10
Cocteau Twins - Treasure 8/10 |
Nellie McKay - Get Away from Me 7/10
|
I & Love & You by The Avett Brothers - 9/10 - Really no filler. Great songs with poignant lyrics.
Pressure Eagle by Cake -10/10 - Great band and FUN live. Album good from start to finish and totally underrated. Volume 2 by She & Him - 7/10 - Not as many catchy songs as Volume 1 but still worthy of a listen every not and again. Animal by Ke$ha - 5/10 - I can't deny that I LOVE that Love Is My Drug song. There are some catchy numbers on this HORRIBLE pop album. Not a fan of the genre but for what it is there is a lot worse out there. |
You like kesha?...........................................................
|
no i hate pop music in general but for her genre she isn't the worst. and yes i do get that one song stuck in my head all the time.
|
Richmond Fontaine - The Fitzgerald
8/10 |
Murcof - The Versailles Sessions 7/10
|
LCD SoundSystem - This Is Happening - 8 out of 10
solid record and good to have on while hanging out and drinking some beers. There is no "New York I Love You But Your Brining Me Down" type song but the album, as a whole, is very good and servicable. |
Ray Charles - Hallelujah I Love Her So 8.5/10
Thomas Newman - American Beauty Soundtrack 6.5/10 It is great music, but it doesn't translate to album well. |

B Real - Smoke and Mirrors All around a pretty solid album. Decent Production, and his lyrics are on point. Everything you would expect from a Cypress Hill album. 8.5/10 |
|
Murcof - Martes 7/10
Eric Dolphy - Out to Lunch 8/10 |
toto - IV
total guilty pleasure of mine, bit limp in places but some really good tunes too 7/10 my bloody valentine - loveless the more i listen to it the more i love it and convince myself it is a true work of genius. quite possibly one of my three favourite albums. 10/10 |
The Breeders - Pod 7/10
I like it, but touches nothing the Pixies brought out. Regina Spektor - Begin to Hope 8/10 This is the first I have listened to this album in 18 months (since my shit-face sister stole my original copy, and I have only just replaced it), and I have to say it is better than I remember it to be. Still doesn't touch Soviet Kitsch, but better than her most recent. Soundgarden - Superunknown 8/10 Same as Regina on not hearing it for 18 months. Still a tasty album. Neko Case - Middle Cyclone 7.5/10 One of my favourite vocalists, but so far this album fails to match up with "Fox Confessor brings the flood". |
Some albums I listened to recently that I liked, in order of how much I liked them:
Avi Buffalo - Avi Buffalo - 9/10 <3 this album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evu_MqAZpC0 Sunglasses - Sunglasses - 8/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKQgYJB2NsU Of Montreal - False Priest - 8/10 Dunno how I feel about this yet for sure. Some mad good songs, couple of really annoying ones also. I like these songs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1qV_UwiVe0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FwjpcpZwIms The Drums - Let's Go Surfing - 7/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeZbbx5SPTs Rainbow Arabia - Kabukimono - 7/10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7NrBvb-DKE Dick Dale and His Del-Tones - Greatest Hits 1961-1976 - 7/10 The Surfaris - Play - 7/10 Sweet ass surf music http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBo-uocAODo Kinda hate most of those videos though. |
Sum 41- Chuck 8.5/10

Röyksopp - Senior Great album, out next month. Have to admit, I'm very happy they decided to do this style of album. Although I fucking think their "normal" stuff is amazing, it's nice to hear them touch their roots and elaborate on some of their amazing and more ambient instrumentals. I highly recommend this. |
Eminem-Recovery. 7.43/10
|
Queen Adreena - Taxidermy 8/10
|

Them Crooked Vultures [Vinyl] 8/10 I downloaded the Vinyl rip from this blog and it sounds way better than the iTunes version. |
