lol You are like ESPN for the past couple of weeks.. They have already decided who will play the National Chapionship, who will go to certain bowl games, etc.. |
I am a huge bengals fan and apreicate the high expectations for them but have you seen their schedule? it is brutal!
|
AFC East:
Miami New England New York Jets Buffalo AFC South: Indianapolis Jacksonville Tennessee Houston AFC West: Denver San Diego Kansas City Oakland AFC North: Baltimore Cincinnati Pittsburgh Cleveland NFC West: St. Louis Seattle Arizona San Francisco NFC South: Carolina Atlanta Tampa Bay New Orleans NFC East: Dallas Philadelphia Washington New York Giants NFC North: Chicago Minnesota Green Bay Detroit Philadelphia over St. Louis Carolina over Atlanta Chicago over Philadelphia Dallas over Carolina Dallas over Chicago Indianapolis over Cincinnati Jacksonville over Denver Miami over Jacksonville Indianapolis over Baltimore Miami over Indianapolis Super Bowl: Dallas over Miami |
If you people think I'm being a homer, you are right.
|
I also told myself not to give into the Arizona hype before this offseason, so I'm going to stick with my gut on that one.
I also think that the New York Giants could even make it to the Super Bowl (in fact, I would say that they are the fourth most likely team to do that in the NFC this year). But, there is going to have to be one team that underperforms in that division this year, and my prediction is them, them or Washington or Philadelphia. I took the pussy route on teams like Oakland and Houston, since predicting their sucktitude compared to other teams in their division is near impossible. |
As good as Miami may be this year, they won't make the Superbowl. I still think the Patriots will win the division. Also, how do you change your avatar to a football team.
|
Patriots are winning the AFC East
|
Yes, they are.

<font color=goldenrod>NFC East is easily the best division in football, but I still have to give the nod to the Giants. It's just so close that you almost have to pick the team who won the previous year. Of all the teams, I think they have the least flaws. All 11 offensive starters returning is gonna be huge if you ask me. Gonna be a fun year and September 10th can't get here soon enough.</font>

Could they win the AFC East? Of course they could. But the fact that anyone could actually say that they might not, undermining the wonderful "genius" of Bill Belichick, is now a taboo in football. If the Patriots were in, say, New Orleans, people would have stopped caring for them a long time ago. |

that would explain why the Pats are 2-2 against Miami the past two seasons wouldn't it
|
The last thing this forum needs is another pompous New England Patriots fan.
|
DrA I wouldn't be surprised if we see TO and Parcells go at it. I bet TO will do something to piss Parcells off and we have them say shit about each other on TV. It seems inevitable.
|
Looks like Priest Holmes is done. :(
http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/KC/9624338 The odds of seeing Priest Holmes on the field this season got much longer when the Kansas City Chiefs put the three-time Pro Bowl running back on the "physically unable to perform" list. |

I still think the Patriots are better than Miami, the team has definetly got a huge upgrade at the QB position though so we'll see. Tully Banta-Cain, tackling your favorite player soon. BANTA-CAIN FOR MVP |

2006 Dolphins= 2004 Seahawks and 2005 Vikings
AFC Championship Indianapolis vs Chowds NFC Championship Packers vs Giants Superbowl Colts vs Packers I'm basically picking the Colts based on the fact that they have to win sometime right? Oh yah and Bob Sanders. Colts Packers Superbowl would be the best Superbowl ever. |
<font color=goldenrod>Some curious decisions by the Giants...carrying 10 O-Linemen and only 2 TEs despite the fact that Wade Fletcher and Darcy Johnson were working their asses off for that #3 TE spot and its pretty much out of balance now (they have 3 backup offensive tackles...FFS, just put someone on the practice squad and use the other spot on another TE, CB, or DT)
-edit- Damn, just found out the Packers signed Charlie Peprah :(</font> |

The Patriots have lived past their shelf life and it's time for another team to step up and take that division. |
Also, why is everyone so quick to put Carolina in the Super Bowl?
Yes, they probably will be a good team and be in the mix to be the best NFC team, but I don't see anything that makes them ridiculously better than what they were the last couple of years. They kinda look like a shell of that Super Bowl team they had three years ago in my opinion. |
great offense great defense. Makes sense to me.

The whole TO/Parcells thing is just going to be one of those things that the media is going to scrutinize and take out of proportion all year long. I'm not saying that nothing will happen, but it's unlikely at this point. |
Quote:

Dont worry about it. Packers are coming out of the NFC.
|
ok

I don't know much about DeAngelo Williams cause I've never followed college ball but from everything I've read he can and most likely will be the real deal once Foster inevitably gets injured. Throw in Keyshaun to actually catch some passes opposite Smith, Delhomme almost always performs in postseason, and Fox's coaching track record, and yeah I think they might be on to something. |
Quote:
Yeah, why would anyone think they're good enough to make it to the Super Bowl?? |
Quote:
|
Carolina is a great team this year and for once possibly better than any team in both the NFC or AFC. They've already had the defense and There offense has improved a lot. I also think Keyshawn is a good fit at wideout for the Panthers.
|
CanadianCrippla, if New England is so much better than Miami, then obviously New England must be significantly better than Miami in some aspect. I would like you to tell me what that is because I'm having a hard time seeing it.
|
Watch the games this season and you'll see.
|
No I want you to tell me since you are so certain it's true. Clearly your claims are backed up by some sort of reasoning and aren't just streams of incoherent drivel coming from an individual who knows absolutely nothing right?
|

Thats why you play the games
I mean heck, the Jets were a hot superbowl pic last year |
Quote:
I hope I cleared that up, sort of. Give me a week or two to see some games before I can actually give comments with validity. |
Keyshawn
|
Johnson, Larry
|
Johnson, Chad, Rudi, Jeremi
|
Chiefs, Kansas City
Defeat Bengals, Cincinnati on 10, September 06 |
What? No snappy comeback pretty boy? :p

I guess they got the NFL Network at my school this year (along with 15 other new channels) YEZZIR |
PHINS TONIGHTTTTTTTTTTTTT
|
Is Big Ben playing tonight??
|
no
|
Charlie Batch is I think.

Apparently, because of their new stadium and all of that, the Arizona Cardinals got to choose any team they wanted to play in the opening game, so they chose San Francisco.
That's such a low rent thing to do. If I was going to have my team play a team in a brand new stadium, it would be a team that would actually be worth beating. Just watch, this is going to curse the franchise and it will be another two hundred years before they win their first play-off game. |
The Steeler's have the best 1-2 punch combo in the NFL with Porter and Polamalu..
|
Dolphins = Cleveland Indians
|
Charlie Batch had a better game than Culpepper..
LOL |
I don't know why people are writing off Pittsburgh so much. Even with Batch, they have a hell of a team. Somebody today said they weren't even going to make the playoffs. Come on, they lost Randle El and Jerome Bettis.
|
Also, why does your school have the NFL Network? I didn't think that was even available outside of a satellite dish.
|
I had a digital cable when I lived in NOLA right before Katrina and I had NFL Network.. You are prolly thinking of NFL Direct Ticket which is only carried through Direct TV..
|
The better team won tonight, straight up. I think Culpepper did ok for his first game back but critics are going to crusify him. The Steelers defense is just ridic. Let the Dolphins work through this loss and Sabin should take them to the playoffs or very close to it.
|
I have the digital cable package, but it doesn't have any of those super-specialty channels. We get ESPNEWS, ESPNU, FSC, OLN, Golf, Speed, and a few others. My friend with DirecTV has all of them though, like CSTV and YES and MSN and all the FSN's.
Mediacom is the worst cable provider ever though, so meh. |
Porter and Polamalu were nasty tonight
|
The whole defense was nasty as usual. Pittsburgh is the defending champs, straight up.
|
Pepp will be fine. First game back from a nasty injury, get off him.
|
LOL. You are all very delusional with the exception of Stima.
|
<font color=goldenrod>Like 10 hours till the Giants
Sooooooo fucking pumped</font> :D |
Wow i've never seen someone so pumped about an 0-1 start.
|
Oh god, can not WAIT, Rams Broncos.. its gonna be tough, but I think they can pull it off.
|
Wow what the fuck, the Jets game on CBSHD IS NOT EVEN IN HD. Fuck this is disgusting. WAS SO PUMPED TO WATCH IT IN HD GOD DAMN IT. So angry.
|
Good To see the Broncos sucking
|
FUCKING CHIEFS FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
|
For some reason we aren't getting the Rams game right now, but I think that is more funny than anything. Fuck St. Louis
|
Both our fullbacks are now hurt.. AWESOME
Still looking pretty good on both sides of the ball.. 9-0 Saints under 2 minutes to play in the first half.. Need to find the endzone though.. |
Guess I'll go watch the rest of this Chiefs STINKFEST.
|
Trent Green hurt bad on a fucking bullshit hit while he was sliding.
Fucking Bengals faggot. |
HERM EDWARDS IS SOFT
|
OMG CHAD PENNINGTON IS INCREDIBLE
He is so sick. I LOVE HIM. 20/27 221 yds 1 TD and the 3rd quarter has only just started. |
K Mike Nugent has missed an extra point and just TERRIBLY missed a 34 yard fg. Good shit.
-edit- Just missed a 30 yarder now. :) |
Holy shit this is making me want to jerk off right now. SO GOOD.
|
London Fletcher now calls himself London Fletcher-Baker, ruining one of the greatest names in the history of football.
|
Apparently none of the CBS games are in HD. What the fuck
They were in HD during preseason but not for the season openers? COME ON. |
Nice call refs you fucking idiots :|
|
The refs cannot hear you and I don't care because I don't know what you are takling about because you provided no details so stfu.
|
"This is in fact the deepest penetration for the Lions"
:naughty: |
Friggin Brady fumbling 5 seconds into the game. At least the Pats are winning now with that Safety.
