8-Man Tag match was pretty good but SD's tag division has still been a bit boring these past few weeks or so. |

Either someone has been giving him some really odd fashion advice or he got baited into a big prank/rib these past few weeks. |

Whelp that Natty vs. Shayna match was a waste of time.
SD's Women's division has been a dumpster fire during this Road to Mania. |
If that women's tag brawl afterwards was meant to be the tease for the multi-women's tag match at Mania then it was such a big dud.
Why even have the brawl if the idea was to just have Natty & Tamina stand tall in the end. They already had the last laugh after Natty beat Shanya in a quick nothing match. |

Going to laugh if this Carmella vs. Bianca match is nothing more than just a quick squash for Bianca considering Carmella's online outburst earlier this week against RAW's Creative over their terrible booking of their women's division on RAW this week.

Poor Cedric & Shelton, went from being in one of the best acts on RAW with the Hurt Business to not even being Mania pre-show worthy because WWE yanked the Andre Battle Royal to SD this year.

WWE turned a pretty cool feud between Big E and Apollo into a lot less appealing and interesting feud these past few weeks. |

Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso Street Fight was pretty good although not one of the better matches those two have had recently. Something about the match felt a bit off.
The post-match rampage by Bryan was great though. This week's show was mostly average at best overall but also somewhat skippable. Did feel more like the go-home show for Mania despite there still being a week left in this year's Road to Mania. |
Sami Zayn seems like the best part of WWE right now... Extremely sweaty and unkempt in his pink suit. Love him

Also Rey & Domink did the one holds the ropes and the other dives through it spot much better than what Shotzi did at TakeOver. Helps that Rey is smaller and didn't overshot the spot. |
The height Montez Ford got on his Frog Splash was crazy.
Smackdown Tag title match was pretty good but the finish and Ziggy & Roode retaining was a bit of a buzz kill. |

Guess WWE's not going to bother explaining what a Nigerian Drum match is until it actually happens at Mania since that Big E video talked about his hometown instead and Apollo probably not getting a video of his own tonight.

That was a bit weird. Nia Jax comes out first to her music, then Tamina to her music, then WWE goes to break but when they come back, Nia's music is suddenly playing as if she was the one who came out second.
Match itself sucked. |

This women's tag contenders segment might actually be worse than the one on RAW. |

This Universal title feud might have gotten a bit convoluted build-wise but its been delivering gold after gold for promos. |

Neither one gave a shit about them still being champs or the idea of them possibly defending the belts on little rest since tonight isn't Mania. |
That promo by Sasha was terrible.
Considering how bad the SD Women's title feud has been, feels like a big mistake to have that as the headliner for Night 1 of Mania instead of the WWE title match. The Hurt Business breakup stuff was stupid but the rest of the Lashley vs. Drew build has mostly good and one of the very few good builds for Mania this year. |

Poor Cedric and Shelton.
First they get kicked out of the Hurt Business, then got manhandled by Lashey in back-to-back weeks, and now they were among the first three guys quickly eliminated from the Andre Battle Royal match. |

That group is still among the biggest busts ever in WWE history. |
Andre Battle Royale was a fun match overall.
Jey Uso winning was a bit of a surprise even if he pretty much no sold the Kinshasa by Nakamura and the finish was anti-climatic. |
Good job giving Jey the win, he’s been one of the biggest success stories of the Thunderdome era. Especially in an era where WWE usually bench the other half of a tag team when one of them gets hurt.

Reigns promo was okay but also went on too long.
This week's Mania go-home show was fine overall. It was a way better go-home show than the dump of a show RAW was earlier this week. Still have no clue what a Nigerian Drum match is because WWE completely forgot to explain what it actually is these past couple weeks. |

Apparently it took until late into this week for WWE's Creative team to actually figure out what a Nigerian Drum Fight is supposed to be despite booking it beforehand for Mania according to the Observer.
Its just a regular No DQ style match but with a stronger emphasis towards striking and kicking so that the hits are loud and create a drum-like sound. |

This cinematic-like highlight video for Bianca's title win was great. Made that moment feel even more special.
I give WWE a couple months at most before they find a way to screw up all of that good will and momentum her match with Sasha generated. |
Whoever created Bianca's pants sort of forgot to finish the fancy design.
Front half of her pants had a blue and white sparky lines design while the back was just like a pair of plain khakis. |
A little under 40 minutes left in tonight's show and no NXT call-ups nor surprise debuts have happened on SD.
WWE got really lazy with that for this year's After Mania shows. |
SD Tag title match was pretty good, especially the latter half.
Surprised Ziggy & Rood retained since it really felt WWE was going to do their usual random title change after a PPV routine. They did it earlier this week for NXT. |

WWE is going to drive the coolness of Cesaro's UFO spot from Mania quickly into the ground since they've shown and mentioned it way too much on tonight's show.
20 minutes left and still no call-ups or surprise debuts yet. Going to be laughable if the only post-Mania surprises ended up being just a returning Ivar and Charlotte. |

5 matches on tonight's show and 3 of them involved something screwy happening for the finish. This week's show was entertaining but felt way more like just a regular episode of SD than a special After Mania show. WWE dropped the ball big time with the post-Mania call-ups and surprise debuts this year. |
