Anyways, about Ric Flair putting over the black guy once....

It was 1979, Macon, Georgia. Ric Flair went with his friend to a dinner at another friends house. They pull up, in the driveway, and theres a lime-green caddy sittin there. Kinda concerned, Flair walks up with his friend to the front door, on the way, he nearly slipped and killed himself on some Soul Glo that had spilled onto the steps leading up to the door. By this point, not only is he concerned, he's also pissed. They knock at the door, Flair is bleeding from his tongue and forehead (again, and its not even match time yet), the door opens, and its Ernie Ladd and Slick, who was managing Ladd at the time. Flair, pissed as hell, sees two black guys standing there and realizes they are responsible for his inujuries. Ladd and Slick being nice guys see that Flair is all busted up and offer to help him get cleaned up. So Flair cools down a tad and lets them. Now at this point, Ladd especially is feeling particularly guilty about what happened to Ric outside with Slick's Soul Glo, so Ernie offers to cook him dinner before the show. Flair, touched by the gesture accepts the offer and sits down to an amazing dinner spread. Fried chicken, collard greens, watermelon, cornbread, yams to eat, along with red kool-aid with extra sugar to drink. Flair absolutely loved it. He cools down altogther and they all pile up in the lime green caddy and off to the arena for that night's show. They get there, see the card and Flair realizes he is working with Ladd. Flair agrees to put Ladd over that night after Ernie was all buddy buddy with the naitch. Flair suggests Ladd using a different gimmick for the match, so Ladd agrees to be "The Million Dollar Man" for one night. Anyways, they wrestle a 35 minute match, Flair goes for the figure 4, Ladd puts the boot to his ass and sends him into the turn buckle and then Ladd chokes out Flair with his hairnet and wins the match at 35:19 into the bout. In classic Million Dollar Man like fashion, Ladd stands over Flair's lifeless body, leans over, and stuffs a welfare check into his mouth.

To date, the only black man that has ever been put over by Ric Flair.

Ric Flair angrily confronted the on-air male companion of Orlando Jordan at a bar that a number of wrestlers and personnel hung out at following the Mar. 23 iMPACT! taping.
