Strowman has been broken for a while, guys. You're just realizing it. They put him in a fucking trash compactor. That's not "serious."

Lock Jaw 02-13-2018 06:26 PM

That may not be serious, but it's no joke!

Based on recent rumblings going around the net, seems the Elgin harassment situation is becoming an even uglier situation in the indies and affecting more people.

This time its affecting Powerbomb TV who streams IWA MS shows and has caused split within the company over Elgin being booked for these shows. One co-owner wants no restrictions on Elgin matches being shown while the other does not want it shown and has no problem with IWA MS keeping it as dark matches only.

Making things worse for Powerbomb TV is Elgin allegedly threatened the co-owner who wanted his matches yanked from live airing.

Other indies that run shows on the service are really worried this is going to get a lot more ugly. They are worried at a boycott happening, mass exodus in subscribers, and their rep getting damaged by association.

Ended up getting worse for Powerbomb TV as one of the co-owners got fired from the company. It was the one that wanted Elgin matches to not be aired on the service.

Supposedly Smart Mark Video played a big role in his firing since they help provide indie content for the service and Powerbomb TV didn't want to risk their deal with the company if they went ahead with the Elgin ban.

Alright, I just actually watched the segment. I thought that gif covered it. But he sang. He actually sang...

Droford 02-13-2018 08:08 PM

This is gonna be a tag match now for the 2 spots

Mr. Nerfect 02-13-2018 08:18 PM

Just watched the segment myself. Good lord. Elias is just...there. The gimmick seemed fine for a mid-card thing, but in the main event it feels like it's just been plugged in. He strums and he talks shit and that's really as it goes. Braun comes out, tries not to corpse, is nervous singing and beats up Elias to almost no reaction.

This is what the circus has become, folks.

I remember being absolutely heartbroken by the event. I was a "fanboy" and had so much respect for his wrestling abilities. Mania XX and his coronation as the World's Heavyweight Champion is forever ruined. And that's very selfish of me.

I sometimes wonder when WWE became aware that Benoit was a double murder situation. If they truly didn't know anything other than "he and his family are dead" when they needed to go on the air, it makes sense to run the tribute show they did.

But man, imagine if they had found out midway through the broadcast. Watching some old Benoit match and next thing you know it just cuts to Vince giving the speech he wound up giving the next night.

Think that's actually what happened. Around the same time leaks and rumors about Benoit being the murderer is when the tribute show itself also quickly shifts in tone than what aired earlier.

Been speculated for a long time, Regal and others knew backstage something sinister happened instead which is why his tribute speech had a different tone.

I'm pretty sure they knew.

Jericho says in his book that when he heard, his first thought was that benoit had killed them. I think the people who knew benoit best probably figurd as much right away.

Which is really sad tbh

Yeah, I forgot about this but Regal's speech very much came across as somebody who knew what was up.

Mr. Nerfect 02-13-2018 10:08 PM

Chris Benoit's dad knew it was a murder-suicide before the show began. I think the WWE knew.

Yeah think Chavo and whoever else got the texts from Benoit about his dogs also expressed similar feelings.

Are you serious, Noid? Would Vince knowingly run a tribute show?

Mr. Nerfect 02-13-2018 11:42 PM

Well, he did. He's done lots of shady stuff like that in the past. Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero come immediately to mind. Maybe they didn't have a full appreciation of the situation and fell into crisis management autopilot?

Gentleman Jack Gallagher, who also has a 2-0 MMA record, both submissions so is probably one of the more legit people on he roster.

Also has the best suicide dive.

Hopefully he will bestow the title of Lord Jack Gallagher so he could bring prestige back to his division

Vastardikai 02-14-2018 01:28 PM

I want Gallagher back as a face, and for them to sign the Villain. An umbrella match would draw ALL the money.
