Could see it happening whenever this current brand split era ends. By that point they'd have enough women on the main roster to support more titles. Only way it wouldn't happen is if WWE experiences a big percentage drop in women in the company.

The Observer or PWInsider did some math recently and the current split is around 60%-40% in favor of male wrestlers when you combine the main roster, NXT, and Performance Center.

#1-norm-fan 02-10-2018 09:24 PM

That's it? Seems like it would be higher.

#1-norm-fan 02-10-2018 09:34 PM

Looked down the roster of main roster/NXT/house show wrestlers and did the math. 41 women, 138 men which is like 23% women. Can't imagine percentage at the Performance Center is that high in favor of women.

Used to be a lot higher a few years ago for men but shows how much NXT and the Performance Center has been changing things for the WWE. Also helps the MYC added more new women to the WWE.

Like the men, a big batch of the women are never going to go beyond the Performance Center. Then you have another big batch moving towards NXT promotion but not for another 2-3 years due to their raw skills.

Yeah she's doing Evil Emma while working under her real name.

Seems she's been getting a lot of bookings and just got announced for ROH's Women of Honor tournament.

Evil Vito 02-11-2018 09:38 AM

Emma's gonna be at a local indy show here in Connecticut next month. Perhaps by then I'll have my mind control abilities figured out so I can parlay it into a wonderful night of coitus.

Probably not, though.

I can see WWE introducing a Womens US/Intercontinental Title one day though. REVOLUTION and whatnot.

They would have to create a new name if a secondary title was introduced as I don't think "Women's United States Championship"/"Women's Intercontinental Championship" would work.

You would probably get people complaining and claiming that "throwing "Women's" in-front of male exclusive things isn't equality" or whatever. An entirely new name would be needed as it also wouldn't look like the WWE were being lazy and just trying to score cheap equality points.

They would probably call it the "WWE Revolution Championship" or something. They don't seem to be so great with names these days.

It's been around a year and a half now and the Universal Championship still sounds slightly "meh".

Cool King 02-11-2018 10:53 AM

"WWE Venus Championship".

The title would have a big Venus Symbol on the front.

Feminists and equality campaigners everywhere would eat that up.

It would be great press for the WWE too.

Cool King 02-11-2018 10:54 AM

But if that were to happen, you just know a lot of Val Venis jokes would follow that championship around.

Cool King 02-11-2018 11:15 AM

Looks like Strowman has a new nickname.

Evil Vito 02-11-2018 11:23 AM

I miss the days when WWE didn't feel the need to give every wrestler on the roster multiple nicknames and monikers.

Cool King 02-11-2018 11:35 AM

Maybe all these nicknames are being created to add some kind of faux-variety to Raw and to hide the fact that all that Micheal Cole really does is shout "THE BIG DOG!" and "IT'S BOSS TIME!" every single Monday night.

According to Jerry Lawler, Memphis Wrestling is returning to television starting this April.

Past few months he was helping Memphis Wrestling shop their tv revival around to potential networks before finally getting a deal done.

Based on recent rumblings going around the net, seems the Elgin harassment situation is becoming an even uglier situation in the indies and affecting more people.

This time its affecting Powerbomb TV who streams IWA MS shows and has caused split within the company over Elgin being booked for these shows. One co-owner wants no restrictions on Elgin matches being shown while the other does not want it shown and has no problem with IWA MS keeping it as dark matches only.

Making things worse for Powerbomb TV is Elgin allegedly threatened the co-owner who wanted his matches yanked from live airing.

Other indies that run shows on the service are really worried this is going to get a lot more ugly. They are worried at a boycott happening, mass exodus in subscribers, and their rep getting damaged by association.

Can't even picture him on the WM card now tbh.

I've been waiting for this, to be honest.

Emperor Smeat 02-12-2018 09:12 PM

Next roster shakeup rumored to be occurring this April based on recent ad changes made by Ticketmaster.

Backlash went from being a RAW exclusive event this year to now a mix brand event based on those who supposedly got recent notices from Ticketmaster.

Obviously haven't watched it, but read the results. Putting Strowman in some "humorous" segments is ridiculous.

Simple Fan 02-13-2018 04:42 PM

All his segments are humorous.

Jordan 02-13-2018 04:45 PM

Nah it was pretty good actually. I mean he's a baby face, he kills people, but it's time to make some money on him I'd say. Just so long as he keeps being a total destroyer then he will be good. The moment they put mid carders over him, it's done.

#1-norm-fan 02-13-2018 05:04 PM

He broke a bass. Breaking a bass = heel.

Sixx 02-13-2018 05:09 PM

Son, have you ever seen a bass?

That was a chello, brotherrrrr.

Jordan 02-13-2018 05:10 PM

I dunno man Coach called it a bass. I really don't know the difference.

Sixx 02-13-2018 05:12 PM

Coach is kinda black. So he doesn't know instruments.

#1-norm-fan 02-13-2018 05:21 PM

Pretty sure it's a double bass.

#1-norm-fan 02-13-2018 05:24 PM

"The cello is played sitting down with the instrument between the knees, and its playing range reaches an octave below the viola's. The double bass is played standing or sitting on a stool, with a range that typically reaches a minor sixth, an octave or a ninth below the cello's."

Clearly we're gonna need someone who saw the show to confirm the octave.

Sixx 02-13-2018 05:31 PM

Yeah, all true wrestling fans know their shit about the octave.

Thought I was the only one who felt this way. Braun should not be singing and making jokes. He should not "like to have fun".
