Dirtsheets hinting WGN America is currently the rumored favorite as TNA's new network home.

If true, the switch would happen no later than early January 2015.

It may have been a deliberate thing too though? I'm sure they cover nWo Sting on the DVD.

If they thought the fake NWO Sting was a big enough part of Sting's legacy to actually put a picture of him on the back of Sting's DVD then that's even funnier.

Not like... the fake Sting in an NWO shirt standing with the rest of the NWO or anything (which I would think they would do if they WERE intentionally showcasing the fake NWO Sting for some reason), but a picture of him applying a nerve hold to some guy presumably in New Japan.

That seems like a viable home. A known network but not as much pressure to be get huge ratings right out of the gate or anything. Now if only Dixie would hire someone who can book and just sit back and trust them to build things over time.

The biggest problem with WGN (and any non-Spike network) is the amount of scaling down and drastic changes TNA would need to do because of the way lower fees. Think Meltzer from the Observer hinted even with a new network, TNA probably still will collapse in the near future.

Also likely run the risk of shows getting pre-empted or delayed whenever the Bulls/White Sox/Bulls are playing since no way WGN would favor TNA over them.

They've already had to scale down. It was a bit foolish giving up a "home" with starry eyed dreams of competing against WWE this early in their existance... and make no bones about it, TNA is still a far younger company than their "rival"... so that isn't much of an issue. And getting pre-empted in favor of Chicago sports teams is better than having zero TV exposure at all. Also, remember WWE used to be pre-empted for The Westminster Dog Show and tennis tourneys way before they were the juggernaut they are now.

However, that thing about "growing slowly" is the key. TNA already burned up a lot of currency in trying to become red-hot overnight multiple times, repeatedly hitting the reset button like so much late era WCW, and hotshot new talent out of nowhere. Now that they are more on the right track, but that is more from neccessity, and it might prove to be too little too late letting such sins compound on them.

I hope I'm wrong about this, though. No matter what happens, I hope they end up remaining on TV. I hope they get their poop in a group and eventually gain a foothold as a stable and viable alternative for guys and gals to work for, especially when they can pick up misused guys WWE threw away like EC3 and allow him to come into his own instead of burying him (as in keeping him down in the doldrums away from public consumption, not as in intentionally kill his career) down the card. TNA is a bit like the new ECW in that they are the new "island of misfit toys", and guys who otherwise may not have gotten a chance to shine, such as A Double, Bobby Roode, or Samoa Joe, or guys pushed out the picture like Kurt Angle or Ken Kennedy, can continue to get a chance to shine when WWE doesn't "see it" or "has nothing for" them.

Believe me, I'm not the only one. Anyway, let's move on.

I imagine refs are instructed not to draw attention to themselves at all. They don't even have names anymore. Remember when you had Teddy Long, Tim White, Mike Chioda, Jimmy Korderas, Earl Hebner, etc. a ref bump actually meant something.

If that is true, then it's a bad idea, because it does limit storytelling options.
