The charming psychopathic cult leader thing was awesome. A lot of missed potential for that oe.

KaraBoo 01-07-2013 01:57 AM

i hated it they should have never broke up SES

James Steele 01-07-2013 02:13 AM

Just because something replaced something good, doesn't mean it can't be good.

KaraBoo 01-07-2013 02:16 AM

it sucked. Nexus was fine.

While true that SES was wasted with the break, Nexus was a lot better role for Punk and had it not been something he was just trying to get through until his contract was up it would have potential to be a current and larger deal. But being the Best in the World is far better.

As for this specific promo she did kinda kill it. Did you even watch it?

You're asking me if I watched something that involved AJ?

I really don't give anything involving AJ my full attention. Never have.

Damn. I remember how optimistic things felt when that took place.

After a great 2011, if I recall this was after TLC, which was overall a fantastic PPV and a great finish to the year, and with all these "new" champions, it seemed like WWE were really ready to push young talent and begin anew.

Fast forward a year... besides Ryback, how many breakout stars were there this year, that really made an impact?

I know what you mean, I was pretty optimistic at that time. It felt good.

Also, seeing that picture just makes me miss Beth Phoenix. :(

James Steele 01-07-2013 03:34 AM

I still think the chest tattoo looks stupid.

Cool King 01-07-2013 03:43 AM

I have no problem with it.

I don't notice it these days. I actually wondered what you were talking about at first and I looked at the image and noticed/remembered that he actually has a chest tattoo.

Maybe Antonio Cesaro and Damien Sandow, but nothing like Ryback levels. If it's not all just hype with him anyways.

Why is an Iraqi sympathizer teaming up with a real scum bag like Hogan? Slaughter needs to pick his teammates better.

That picture of all the small champions just reminds me of how utterly boring Daniel Bryan used to be. Most improved wrestler in the WWE in the past year by far.

Nothing else you can complain about there with regards to "young wrestlers not getting pushed". Kofi and Bourne are midcarders, shouldn't be any higher than that, tag titles was fine for them. Ryder won't amount to anything more than his US title reign, it was fun at the time but he doesn't really have the staying power. Rhodes as IC champ is exactly where he should be, he's not good enough to go any higher than that. Don't see what the complaints are about.

Schlomey 01-07-2013 09:52 AM

Finally back at my work desk. Taking the necessary steps to legitimize this forum begins today. Hollywood Hulk Schlomey has arrived.

I would agree about everyone but Cody Rhodes there.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-07-2013 10:10 AM

Rhodes is great, shouldn't even be considered for a main title any time soon though. He's nowhere near that level yet. Ryback and Ziggler are far ahead of him as far as new title holders go, do we really need three new holders in a short space of time? I'd say Barrett is much closer than him too, and the way Sandow's been going he could well be closer to that level.

Corporate CockSnogger 01-07-2013 10:12 AM

I'm much more of a fan of them swapping the title round a low number of legit main eventers than them throwing the title on someone cause he's quite good.

I'd be happy with a WWE tie though.

SPOILER: show
1) Orton would win considering he was supposed to last year before the injury and the rumors of Orton/Sheamus possibly replacing Ziggler/Sheamus for Mania. Ziggler won't cash in until after Mania.

2) Cena doesn't win which everyone seems to believe he's going to win just so that Rock-Cena II is guaranteed. If he does then the WWE probably will just repeat having Cena using his spot for the Chamber and not Mania.

Although the poster could be a fake considering the copyright line says 2012.

AND considering the fact that there's an NXT logo next to the SmackDown! one...

KaraBoo 01-07-2013 11:20 AM

Who knows Kassius ohno might win the rumble.

From PWInsider:
Quote:

"Jake Roberts has lost over 50 pounds since moving in with Diamond Dallas Page and starting Page's DDP Yoga health regimen. Page will soon be moving Scott Hall into his home as well in an attempt to use the regimen to assist Hall with his personal and health problems. A documentary about the process is filming currently."
Being the largest Jake The Snake fan on this forum I just wanted to publicly say how proud I am of him and DDP. I really hope Hall gets out of this what Jake has......

Lock Jaw 01-07-2013 02:02 PM

Would be amazing if an in-shape Hall and Roberts came back as a tag team for one last match. Not in any major companies, but just for some indy show or something. DDP as the manager.
