What? They're nitpicks. They didn't ruin the moment, just things that kind of bothered me. Little details like that can impress me when done right.
Also, ref's counting sucks in that video I posted. |
I also dislike how Lilian Garcia is the announcer who announces CM Punk as the new World Heavyweight Champion.
I hate that bitch. |
Didn't like Batista's jeans.
|
Not a fan of Batista's earrings. Completely killed that segment for me.
|
I don't like how Batista lost a "Last Chance" World title match and then got another last chance anyways. WWE and Final Fantasy finally had something in common with words that don't really mean anything.
|
Actually, I enjoy the Konami Code.

Phil is going to be pissed.

Why it shows that he had comedy skills and victory skills even at a young age. I think WWE is going to be pissed that his aunt used the word Wrestler and not Superstar.

Chat scheduel for the week of December 19, 2010.
With this week having so much stuff going on, we're looking at the following schedule for our chats. Tonight at 8PM EST - TLC Monday at 9PM EST - RAW Tuesday at 9PM EST - Live SmackDown! followed by NXT Wedensday at 8PM EST - 2 hour version of Tribute to the Troops |
lol that is awesome.
|
Punk's probably going to be more pissed that she used his real name.
FUCK YOU, PHIL BROOKS! |
is NXT on this week?
|
It's been moved to 11 on Tuesday I believe.
Added it to the list. |
I like how they produce the card game, hype it up, and then go "...And that is for our other players!"
They then hand it to the little girl and Punk, even with his bigger game in hand, just looks at the cards like "That should have been mine too". |

The pink Japanese table at TLC was supposed to happen. They tested it out to make sure it would only break with the three of the girls weights on it.
|
Yeah not too big of a surprise. They were clearly trying to balance it when they fell on it. If it was supposed to the finishe they would have fallen with it.

SCHLOMEY REVIEWS WWE TLC 2010 Quote: The last pay per view of the calender year. The stockings are hung like Khali and the snowglobes are shaking like The Bella Twins titties....boogity boogity boogity let's get reviewin'! WE ARE LIVE in Houston, Texas...The least Christmasy city they could have chosen for a X-Mas PPV! The set looks just like last years but apart from the repetition it is still quite pretty. Let's head back down to the ring to the match already in progress..... Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match Kofi Kingston vs Jack Swagger vs Dolph Ziggler What a good choice for the opener. 3 guys that time and time again put on high quality PPV matches. The gimmick was very favorable for all 3 of the men as Kofi is known to be skilled on the ladder, Swagger was a MITB winner and Ziggler has at least given a couple nice ladder spots during previous MITB matches. The action was fast and the spots overall were really good. A great match with the "I hope the rest of the show follows this quality" feeling. I am USUALLY not a fan of gimmicky match endings but the flawless transition really felt REAL as if the title slipped between the fingers of the 2 grapplers on top the ladder. Very believable ending if I say so myself. Winner - Dolph Ziggler Match Rating - 8 piledrivers on a steel chair out of 10. Diva Tag Team Tables Match Nattie Neidhart & Beth Phoenix vs LayCool My expectations were surprisingly high for this encounter. First you have LayCool. Apart from being obnoxious and annoying they have vastly improved this past year with in ring work as well as playing on the audience. Then you have Nattie and Beth who are almost equally as impressive and strong as they are sexy. The match met and slightly exceeded my expectations, which were rare and unusually high. The set up for the finish was a bit choppy but I loved when the table didn't break under their weight and Nattie had to do a froggette splash to take them out. Kudos ladies on the first really enjoyable PAY PER VIEW QUALITY Diva match in centuries! Winners: Nattie Neidhart & Beth Phoenix Match Rating: 7 chokeslams through a table out of 10. World Tag Team Championships Match Kozlov & Marella vs The Nexus The only NON gimmick match on the card. Honestly forgot this match was going to happen and could care less about it. I laughed at a few spots which, I guess, was the point...But one has to wonder why The Nexus is getting involved in shit comedy angles and losing to the lowest card roster members. The match, however with out thinking about that stuff, was actually kind of fun. Winners: Santino Marella & Kozlov via DQ Match Rating: 5 headbutts on the top rung of a ladder out of 10. Number 1 Contenders Ladder Match Sheamus vs John Morrison Expectations were very high for this match considering their last 2 outings have been outstanding in my opinion. I was not dissapointed here as this is easily the best match of the night, so far. The psychology of Sheamus in this match impressed me as he used his head instead of just his fists for a change. Morrison's high spots are always a treat but equally as impressive was his selling. Overall best use of the set and weaponry thus far into the show. Winner: John Morrison Match Rating: 10 broken Spanish announce tables out of 10. WWE Championship Tables Match The Miz vs Randy Orton Again, expectations very high. This is a match I have wanted to see since The Miz came out and ran his mouth to Orton several months ago. I was a little bit nervous going in to this match knowing what they have to follow and knowing Orton's track record for boring performances in gimmick matches. He is an outstanding 1 on 1 wrestler but I have noticed with gimmick matches, us as the audience expect more octane than psychology and Orton rarely goes above and beyond inside the confines of a gimmick match. The match, however, was fairly explosive. Nice to see The Miz pull an extraordinary performance out of Orton within the parameters of the tables gimmick. The false finish was brilliant and equally as brilliant was the restart and actual finish. Kudos for the new WWE writers for giving us excitement, momentary confusion and for making people actually contrast emotions. Winner: The Miz Match Rating: 9 Rey Mysterio ladder botches out of 10. World Heavyweight Championship T.L.C Match Alberto Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio vs Kane vs Edge A bit hesitant throwing 2 guys into the world title match out of nowhere, especially when the reason was because one of the guys is working injured. However, this main event quality match was very well done. I totally enjoyed every moment of the match. From the slow start, to the teamwork, to the ladder spots, to the table and high impact spots all the way to the finish. I especially appreciated Alberto Del Rio's performance throughout and the finale ladder dive through the table was taking like a true champ. I was happy with the outcome and happy that all 4 men put on quality performances. Glad to see Mysterio not call it in for a change and put it all out there. Winner: Edge Match Rating: 8 con-chair-tos out of 10. Main Event Chairs Match John Cena vs Wade Barrett Nice to see that this match is deemed more important than the World Heavyweight AND WWE Championships. Not. Anyways, the match itself was rather boring and nothing I haven't seen from Cena a million times before. I really thought since they let this match go on last that CM Punk was going to be revealed as the GM or even go in and attack John Cena and claim that is who he was takling about on RAW at the Slammys. But no, just a standard John Cena match to kill the feud. The show should have ended with Miz or Edge as both of those matches were great and had meaning...a feud blow off that should have happened 2 months ago isn't as important to me as a title. Winner: John Cena Match Rating: 5 frog splashes from the top of a ladder out of 10. Quote: OVER-ALL MATCH RATING: 52 out of 70 OVER-ALL OPINION I loved this PPV even though it wasn't without it's flaws. All of the matches had great things attached to them (minus the tag match) but some of the match placements and bookings bothered me. Also, does anyone think that Cody Rhodes has improved vastly on the mic and when he got irritated at the Big Show and began yelling about his "custom 3 button" that he had a glimmer of old school Ric Flair coming out? I did. Anyways, I really liked this PPV and most of what it had to offer...Great year ending PPV leading in to my favorite season....WRESTLEMANIA season! MATCH OF THE NIGHT Sheamus vs John Morrison WORST MATCH OF THE NIGHT Cena vs Barrett - for match placement and it's all too standard booking SHOCK OF THE NIGHT The Del Rio table spot LET DOWN OF THE NIGHT Cena vs Barrett did not thrill or even inspire a tense moment. |
HE LIVES!

Good thing you were able to take a break from milking your camel long enough to come in and turn this thread around.
|
I don't know why but it feels like Cena gets the Hogan-style of "getting a win back" with most of the feuds he's been.
Like he gets beaten up by Nexus and looses a ppv but gets the "win" back either to kill a feud or end up on top. I know its not as blatant as Hogan doing the stuff backstage and Cena is usually just doing what he's told instead of just burying people at a Hogan or early Brand Split HHH level. |
Yeah but Hogan barley ever lost. Cena loses alot more than Hogan did. i remember when Hogan jobbed to Arn Anderson on a Nitro and I was like WHAT THE FUCK?!
|
|
Epic.
|
I never really "got" the Christan love. I mean, yeah, he's sometimes fun to watch and he's a good promo, but I just never really got into him post-Edge and Christian.
|
Christian is the man. Shut up you face.
|
William Regal needs to hit the GYM. HARD.
Did anyone else see William Regal last night?
It was disgusting, he weighs like 300 lbs now, tucked in under his tights like Hogan often does. I really hope he is the Raw GM so I never have to see him wrestle again. Hit the gym dude. |
Revamping the Womens Division in WWE (The Divas)
We have seen the womens division go to its least interesting stalemate.
It's been pretty awful since the days of Trish, Lite, Chyna, and Sable, but with Kelly Kelly on ECW and sparking interest with her crazy dancing, it had some hope in recent years. When I saw kelly kelly dancing and doing a striptease to Loosen up my Buttons and some lapdancing on stage of the ECW set, I thought I was going to DIE. I marked out hardcore. Now, on Raw, they go straight into a Divas match, without any promos, and we bear witness to their awful wrestling manuevers. If I see one more kick that doesn't land a blow to the head, I'm going to jump in the ring and do it myself. Any ideas on what the WWE needs to do? Obviously in a PG environment. |
Raw non main event competitors: Who's getting their talent wasted the most right now
If you're an avid wrestling fan, I'm sure you've tuned into Raw and saw the old storylines, the lame gimmicks, and the weak selling of promos other than the Main Event scene which contines to be gold (and Nexus).
Who do you feel needs to move to Smackdown so they can get into more of a wrestling developed show. Do they also need a gimmick change, or possibly instead of the move? Names that instantly come to mind are Santino Marella, Ted Dibiase, Mark Henry, etc. It's almost as if noone is wrestling on Raw anymore, it's the promo at the beginning for the main event, it's the Diva's, then it's a tag team or intercontinental bout wit Dibiase or Daniel Bryan wrestling, then there's only 2 matches left til the end. I'd like to point out Santino Marella. When he first came to the WWE, I had huge hopes for him being a intercontinental champion for a long standing time, and such, but now, he is just a goofy face who can't be taken seriously. When is it enough, and does he need a new gimmick, or a heel turn? |
:nono:
|
Really? Because since TLC I noticed an increase in the ring work of the Divas, and am more or less pleased by it. It's been too long since the female competitors of the WWE have been anything more than eye candy for the masses (i.e. Bella Twins), so to see wrestlers like Natalya, Beth, Laycool, and even Fox up their game as of late is a breath of fresh air.
Honestly, what I think their trying to accomplish is to make the Divas more like the Knockout division of TNA, but that's just my opinion. |
As TPWW's #1 Peep, I approve Lock Jaw's message
|
Are you talking about when he wrestled Daniel last night? The Guy is a sound wrestler with an array of holds, submissions, and counters, and he put on a hell of a match.
Is he as fit as he once was? Of course not, but is he still able to perform? definitely. |
Beth Phoenix, Natalya and Gail Kim are amazing. Layla, Michelle McCool and Melina are good. Eve Torres and The Bellas are improving. AJ Lee and Naomi Night are in the wings.
I'd love for the WWE to snap up Awesome Kong, Sara Del Ray and Cheerleader Melissa as much as anyone, but beyond that, I think things are going pretty well. I just wish they had of kept the Women's Title instead of the Divas Title. |
Santino Marella is one of the few RAW guys that is being used to his potential. The man is currently a champion, gets to be entertaining on both RAW and SmackDown!, is wrestling more than he ever did, and is actually getting some credible victories (more credible than he ever has). Marella is fine, although I do hope that he continues to go up, rather than down and becomes purely a joke character.
Ted DiBiase could use a move to SmackDown!, to be honest. I think it would allow him to develop in the ring more, and he'd be able to develop more of his own shtick there. What Cody Rhodes is doing on SmackDown! has been done before, but I was thinking about this the other day -- when has a narcissistic character been done with a guy who has the ring skills that Rhodes does? Most of the time they're big guys who are decent at best in the ring. So the heat magnet is combining with Rhodes' talent and working. DiBiase pretty much has his father's gimmick, which actually goes against what DiBiase came into the WWE to do. Of the RAW guys, Zack Ryder, Primo, Yoshi Tatsu and even William Regal come to mind. All those guys would probably clutter SmackDown!, but Ryder is being absolutely wasted to the point where he is a joke. He'll get his time in the future, I am sure, but the guy got so much momentum on ECW. Hell, even if they put him in a team with Curt Hawkins again (a guy being wasted on SmackDown!, believe it or not), at least people would be able to tell the two apart now. Primo Colon is so talented, but just doesn't find the room to show it on RAW. With the Hispanic audience SmackDown! draws, Primo could find a niche there. Yoshi Tatsu could work great matches and hopefully find a random opportunity to move up, and Regal is getting older, but could be used slightly more constructively on SmackDown!. |
Who cares about the Divas? Get them off TV or give them their own show. No one cares.
|
If they're going to be on the show, and let's face it, the Divas division isn't going away any time soon, then I'm glad that they're at least giving the focus and attention to the Divas that can actually put on a halfway decent match. Laycool are annoying as fuck on the mic, but they're not half bad in the ring, and Natalya and Beth Phoenix are both really good workers, so they've at least got that going.
To back up what Noid said, I'd love to see WWE pick up some of the better TNA Knockouts like Awesome Kong, bring back Tara/Victoria. Maybe someone with a drastically different gimmick from the usual Divas stuff (like Daffney) to shake things up a bit. |
Zack Ryder and Ted DiBiase.....

William Regal has "that" kind of a body that, even if he hits the gym hard, he won't change much...he's not that genetically gifted. He's had the same body, more or less, his whole career.
