I think the evil GM kinda jumped the shark with People Power.

...Wait |
Lol I loved Johnny Ace as Raw GM. I thought he was hilarious.

Evil authority figure jumped the shark in 2001 during the invasion angle. Yet... here we are.
|
Need a heel authority figure that is certifiably insane. Like putting The Joker in charge of Arkham.

Broken Stephanie McMahon

Was he even a heel?
|
I don't know, but he sure as hell could be.

I thought Eric Bischoff was great as a heel authority figure on Raw. He consistently got heat, got the faces who opposed him more over, and he was willing to play the fool when the situation called for it.
Plus he was the GM for three and a half years from mid 2002-late 2005. Once he left, it just became a revolving door of people trying to do the same thing. |
Best Heel Authority figures NOT named Vince McMahon were Bischoff and William Regal.

lolllllllllllllll Jinder jobbed to Triple H in India

Wade Barrett on the reason WWE ended the Bad News Barrett Gimmick: “I was specifically told the reason I wasn’t allowed to say my catchphrase ‘I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news’ anymore was that it was getting a positive response and they wanted me to be a heel. I personally didn’t agree with that philosophy. I felt ‘Look, if they are going to cheer for me, they like this, let’s go with it. I’ve never been a babyface before, let’s go with it.’

just checked the results. mehhhhh. at least he kicked out of a pedigree.

HHH needed his heat back after being beat by Reigns in Abu Dhabi, duh.
He joined with Seth and Roman in beating up heels after the match too. |
I'm not going to have to watch those matches, right?
|
Can't see why. Tribute to the Troops spoilers sound worse, just because JBL was there.

I wish we had a place to settle beefs, where legendary warriors once dueled each other.

Does he go insane in later seasons? I'm only on the first.

Triple H beating Jinder Mahal is not surprising.

Had a weird thought: Do you think Triple H will go "full heel" at some point on NXT and just put himself over everyone? If so, will the Full Sail crowd still cheer?
|
Would do some serious damage to the brand if it ever happened. A potential RAW/WWE vs NXT feud could probably work on paper but not with WWE's current booking habits nor them being very careful about the amount of damage done to NXT.
Right now Regal is the perfect authority figure for NXT and the WWE in general. He's not overbearing like Steph, nor power hungry like Shane has shown at times, nor getting himself into personal vendettas or being a push-over like the other GMs. |

WWE vs NXT would still be Triple H wins lol |

Weird to see Steiner wearing elbow pads pulled up to his biceps to try and hide the fact he's lost a shitload of muscle mass. |

WWE's done a similar idea in the past with mixed results. Cena & Orton vs RAW brand was pretty terrible while Austin vs The Alliance was pretty great as a moment. |
Well yeah, if NXT wins it makes "the big leagues" look bad. It could have potential if the brands were seen as equal.
But they can't even do that with RAW/SD. |
