Not saying he should go the kevin owens route, but at least have something a little more flattering

Long tights and a singlet.

Emperor Smeat 12-07-2017 08:00 PM

According to the Observer, Sheamus is currently dealing with a potential career ending injury.

Here's the debut episode of Prime Time Wrestling from January 1985 with original hosts Jesse Ventura and Jack Reynolds who was AWFUL. Gorilla would replace Reynolds in August.

Bad News Gertner 12-07-2017 08:08 PM

I have the entire 1985 set of Prime Time Wrestling shows in my collection. I don't even think the Network has 1985 up last time I checked.

He would pretty much have to wrestle in a track suit.

The character ended up regaining the ability to walk, and was primarily used as a manager, and a rare tag team appearance. Went by the "Attila" moniker when he was last used, the manager of the Barbarian Nation that consisted of Visigoth, Ostragoth, and Hun.

On the bright side, if Sheamus has to retire, they could always do a Kings of Wrestling reunion.

Fignuts 12-08-2017 03:11 AM

Gallows and Anderson on Stonecold podcast.

Story of Festus' creation is amazing.

Vince telling Gallows what he wants the face to be, then the two of them going back and forth making stupid vacant faces to eachother and drooling on themselves trying to get it right.

Droford 12-08-2017 01:02 PM

Kevin Nash had knee surgery and decided to post the pic of his knee..its..what you'd expect it to look like.

Did they do their Stone Cold impersonation?

Anybody Thrilla 12-08-2017 03:01 PM

Those original Wyatt promos were fucking great. What happened?

Emperor Smeat 12-08-2017 03:40 PM

Vince and WWE's booking took its toll. They thought because they had the next Undertaker in their hands, they didn't need to take care of Bray's character and its shown the past several years.

Fignuts 12-08-2017 05:01 PM

That's so stupid though, because part of thevreason taker got over in the first pkace, was that he ws heavily protected, and rarely ever lost.

Ol Dirty Dastard 12-08-2017 05:42 PM

Hey but Road Dogg said winning and losing doesnt matter.

#BROKEN Hasney 12-08-2017 06:53 PM

Generally speaking it probably doesn't matter. However, when you lose so much that's all people can remember, you kinda dun fucked up lol

#1-norm-fan 12-08-2017 07:12 PM

If the outcomes of matches don't matter then why watch a show centered around matches?

Mr. Nerfect 12-08-2017 08:37 PM

I'm not a big fan of Sheamus, but that sucks.

Mr. Nerfect 12-08-2017 08:39 PM

I don't really mind the Kassius Ohno attire. I know it is regarded as "horrible," but for what they're going for I don't hate it. I'm kind of more bothered when a guy is obviously covering up fat. Owens looks way more insecure to me than Ohno. But I guess it doesn't really fit a "main eventer." That's not what Ohno is supposed to be though. I dunno, just don't hate it for him.

In all honesty though, they'll never get over by just going out and wrestling, when the main eventers who have well established characters and time to connect with the audience wrestle the same style.

Cruisers in wcw got over with just their ring work, because 99% of the time, everything else on the card was dogshit.

Feel like cruisers should have been an nxt thing where the smark crowd will cheer great work regardless. Then they could move up to the main roster and see some actual progression in their career instead of being deadlocked into a sigle division that will never be anything more than a third string title.

That's exactly the point. "See some actual progression." That's the problem with the cruisers. It's lower-card stuff. Always has been to that company and always will be.

The CWC was a hot button. It was a novel concept and everything had stakes. It was produced to feel different and sporty. That should have been it. Take the guys that work well and put them in NXT or on the main roster and don't label them as "small." In modern WWE where half the roster is small, you don't need to make them comparatively even smaller next to the small guys.

Then you can run a CWC 2 and try and get it on the USA Network or something. There's less commitment so people might give it a shot. Then you take the talent that work from that and rinse, wash, repeat.

When you have guys on the roster who are small enough for the division, but are "above" it (Finn Balor), how are people supposed to take the belt seriously? It's Velocity all over again. Doesn't matter if they go faster or harder or longer. It's not important and everybody knows it's not important. Drew Gulak can be as entertaining as he wants, if he's not being entertaining with the guys who matter, it doesn't matter.

Mr. Nerfect 12-08-2017 09:09 PM

That being said, if they are going "all-in" on 205 Live, then moving it away from the other shows is probably the best thing for all involved. That way at least the top guys on the "brand" can be booked to not look like geeks. They might even move Finn Balor there and have him feud with Hideo Itami over the belt. When you move up Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch, Johnny Gargano (I cringe about that one), and maybe even move over Chad Gable from SmackDown, you have a very decent little roster developing.

But I see it turning into a half-way house between NXT and the main roster very quickly.

Rumor going around the net involves Cena's relationship with Nikki Bella is starting to cause him serious money problems and a possible reason why he got in trouble with Ford for selling a car given to him as part of a sponsorship deal.

If Cena isn't making money, how is anyone?

SlickyTrickyDamon 12-08-2017 11:56 PM

He's making it. Nikki is spending.

That and I'd assume he never cut back on his own expensive hobbies over the years and its now coming back to haunt him.

Seems the upcoming wedding is going to devastate him even more since supposedly he doesn't have enough cash on hand for their current plans.

Anybody Thrilla 12-09-2017 12:25 AM

Traditionally, the wedding should be on Nikki's dad.

Anybody Thrilla 12-09-2017 12:26 AM

He did mention on Unfiltered in December of 2015 (don't know why I watched that today) that he goes to dinner with Nikki ever single night. He could for sure cut back on some things.

Is he their dad for real??? I was wondering why he was sitting at the table during that clip of Total Bellas on Unfiltered.

Lock Jaw 12-09-2017 01:11 AM

He married their mom..... not biological father, but I think biological dad not in the picture

Anybody Thrilla 12-09-2017 01:17 AM

Ah, that makes a little more sense. Pretty funny to think about as I was just watching the Punk/Bryan match from Over the Limit 2012 yesterday, and the main event was John Cena v. Johnny Ace. Ridiculous that closed the show.

#1-norm-fan 12-09-2017 02:22 AM

More ridiculous that that was the match they followed up John Cena beating Brock Lesnar with. That match was epic and turned a smark crowd onto Cena's side. How the fuck did they think having him job to John Laurinaitis was the logical next step?

Anybody Thrilla 12-09-2017 02:30 AM

Ugh, I'm starting to get pissed just thinking about wrestling booking from five years ago. Am I mental?

Fignuts 12-09-2017 02:35 AM

As a 90's all japan fan, I remember being hopeful that he would surprise everyone and hit Cena with an Ace Crusher.

But it was John Cena beating up an old man for 15 minutes.

What a hero..
