Less Kane, more Dark Phoenix... zero problems with that.

Which in and of itself is kinda weird... not only did he start that shit (BC, I mean), but since "Too Sweet" is supposedly trademarked by WWE, it would seem that any actual use in-product would make sense. What's the point of stopping outside sources if in-house sources can't say it? Either instance just gives "the opposition" ammunition - they'll either do something out of spite or something to circumvent. Also, it isn't like giving sly shout-outs to your friends elsewhere is something new or a thing that will ever end. It's not like he went outside and took a selfie with them...

One of WCPW's World Cup tournament events from earlier in the year.

Did some searching for it and the match happened late August in Manchester, England. Spot itself is from Takahashi's entrance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTd_xiAaS2I

You're correct in those particulars, but it's kind of "recognizing" the incident, you know? Like if someone did the Emma dance on Raw this week or something. It might just "rub" Vince the wrong way. Like, stop trying to pop that segment of the crowd.

Mr. Nerfect 10-30-2017 12:13 AM

Reading the top of this page: Did WWE give Schiavone a spot? God, that is awesome. I mean, I could take him or leave him as a commentator, really, but he is historically underrated because WCW lost the war and because of how shit it all got towards the end. But the guy sounds hilarious.

When he dialed back the ridiculous shtick, Duggan actually impressed me on one of those panel shows the WWE did one time. I think it may have been for a Royal Rumble because he won the first. I wouldn't mind him being given a trial as a commentator for Main Event or something.

Yeah, Duggan decided to step away and now Sean Mooney is gonna continue the show on his own. He talks about it in the latest show with Bruce Prichard

Maybe... but maybe he wasn't so much "trying to pop that segment of the crowd". Remember, a lot of the stuff the Kliq did they admitted to doing it because THEY thought it was cool/funny, and some of it, the crowd reaction was a side-effect. That isn't neccessarily an exclusive point of view to those six guys. The info is way more prevalent now than then, but I'm sure it was more for The Elite/Bullet Club/AJ/Gallows & Anderson than it was for anyone in the crowd, especially considering the match it was after.

So it's a happy split? I should just listen to the podcast, but I'm not that interested in the podcast itself.

Yeah, but they don't get to pick Vince's emotional response to that.

Tom Guycott 10-30-2017 01:38 AM

True. He's not down with all of this, but wore a Bullet Club shirt in a photo before. Guy is a total coin flip.

I mean, that is a guy who had to get talked down from firing Titus O'Neil - a guy he was giving a halfway decent push to - over an incident that would have been a non-issue if he himself didn't overreact like he was about to be prison raped in public.

Apparently so. He talks about it for like the first 5 minutes of the show.

Is it bad that it took me a minute to realize that was Tommy? I thought it was Bingo. Gotch in a picture with Stanhope's girl would somehow be less random.

He doesn't really need to be consistent on the issue, does he? He can decide to let The Young Bucks do their shtick because it's silly and harmless and no one cares, and then he can decide that he doesn't want them to be visible within his sphere until they sign WWE contracts and he can turn them into musical elves (which would actually be a more serious gimmick for them).

Titus was a dick for doing what he did, haha. I can understand why Vince would want to fire him, and that is compounded by Titus' lack of talent.

I have a feeling that Rey, David, and Tygress needed to practice that spot at the end. A bunch. In private.

I was going to call this the career highlight for Emma. Honestly, I think she was always more comfortable in NXT. I could actually see her being offered an NXT deal, which would obviously be less money, but also involve less travel, etc. She could be a bit of an attraction for them. I dunno, maybe it's unlikely.

Oh yeah, based on the PROGRESS show last night, I get the feeling Pete Dunne might be coming to NXT full time.

Former PROGRESS World Champion and current WWE United Kingdom Champion, Pete Dunne, who is accompanied by Trent Seven & Tyler Bate, comes out to speak for the first time since losing the PROGRESS title at “Chapter 55”. Dunne says that his time in the UK isn’t certain

I'm yet to see the UK Title matches between him and Bate, but I've heard they are stellar.

They are. The NXT Takeover Chicago one is the best one.

Also a fun match involving the UK guys was Moustache Mountain (Tyler Bate & Trent Seven) Vs. Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Riely.

Mr. Nerfect 10-30-2017 10:43 AM

Cool, I might check that out. Thanks.

Dunn and Bate is a classic. And I'm not overhyping it.

I cannot believe Konnor still has a job with the WWE. Good for him, but the dude started his career in 2001, went through DSW, quit the company, came back, has done very little since, and is still employed 12 years into his working relationship with them. It actually makes me appreciate him a lot more -- he must do something right.

Emperor Smeat 10-30-2017 08:22 PM

Damien Sandow had a similar road when he was in the WWE.

Joined in 2002, got released a few years later, rejoined the WWE, and then became a main roster regular in 2012. Only difference was he had a very brief stay on the main roster with a different gimmick before his first release.

Mr. Nerfect 10-30-2017 09:03 PM

Yeah, very similar. Tye Dillinger falls into that category as well.

Seems Anthem's money problems with Impact Wrestling has really started affecting their other shows on the Fight Network.

Live Audio Wrestling is taking a hiatus after most of the hosts recently left the show.

Mr. Nerfect 10-31-2017 01:34 AM

I think WWE will just buy them out soon. Impact will be dissolved, a few talents brought in, a special about its history produced and the PPVs uploaded to the Network.

#BROKEN Hasney 10-31-2017 02:32 AM

Someone else will buy them and they'll survive. TNA is a cockroach.
