I do love Daniel Bryan. I'm very curious to see what happens when his contract comes up.
|
Could see them try to release him a day before it expires to hit him with a no-compete clause but that would only affect the US I think and he's teased at wanting to go to Mexico first.
If they try to pull a Del Rio with him and include international, Bryan probably does the same Del Rio did and threatens to go to court over it. |
WWE will offer Bryan a lot of money to stay. It just depends on how much Bryan wants to wrestle and how much the WWE are willing (or able?) to budge on that. My personal prediction is that Bryan signs with WWE. I think he could squeeze so much out of them...but will he?
|
Vince will hate that too. There's also that Bella Brand to think about. If Bryan leaves the WWE, does he make things too tense for his wife's career? There's lots of moving parts in this, and I hope Bryan appreciates that.
This is just me going off on a crazy tangent, but what if he positions for some sort of creative control? He can do so much as a wrestler, but if he given his own show to book or whatever? He could change the entire landscape. Would Vince consider that being bent over a barrel? I'm sure there's a way Bryan could present it as "I want to work here, but I also want to make an actual difference." "Fine, whatever, here's your shot." I'm not predicting that, but man, just imagine a Daniel Bryan and Paul Heyman run SmackDown, with Bryan and Heyman implementing a 5-year plan or whatever, where it's run something like it's own promotion, with Vince simply as the money. |
Who was Bryan talking to at the end of that compilation video?
|
Mick Foley.
|
D-Bry was so solid on NXT.
|
Jervis Cottonbelly showed up on the last New Legacy stream and I'm in tears.
|
|
Neville is one thing but Nia Jax walking out seems really spoiled and ungrateful to me.
|
Worth noting as well that they were the first site to break the Neville thing.
|
She probably got wedged in a doorway and they're still trying to free her.

And yeah Jacobs probably wanted to get canned... and he did it in a memorable way George Costanza would even envy. |

Probably not, but you think it should be a disgruntled employee that is writing that mess. |

I wasn't going to say anything, but I hate it when people try comedy like that. Peyton is super-hot though and Johnny Gargano is a really good wrestler, so they get passes. But god was that awful, haha.
|
Nia Jax walking out is interesting. I was thinking about how many people must be unhappy there, and why they would be unhappy. Morale seemed so high recently (well, high for the "Evil Empire"). Why do you have talent like Aries, Neville and Nia Jax (if true) all walking out around the same time?
I wonder how much of it has to do with the different philosophies of Vince McMahon and Triple H? There's scuttlebutt that they clash, but I wonder just how many promises Triple H makes talent before Vince goes and breaks them for him? Not even trying to babyface Hunter in all this. But when companies start breaking promises to employees, that's when they get more upset about shit pay and how they are valued. Heyman managed to do this reverse thing, where he made people valued even if he couldn't pay them, haha. I was thinking about this yesterday, before the Nia news, and it wouldn't surprise me if there are more walkouts. |
Heard it was fake news. No need to write a paragraph on it and what not.
|
Regardless, I wouldn't be surprised if more come.
|
I really want a Heel Orton vs Shinsuke program. Feel like a motivated orton vs nakamura feud could be very good.
|
I'd be down for that. I'm fine with them teaming for a while too. Orton could lend Nakamura that "WWEness" he has. I mean, that probably shouldn't be the goal, but they've taken away the Nakamuraness, so they've got to give him something.

I can understand and get behind Kane's constant transformations between business Kane and demon Kane, but I wish he'd lose that fucking wig. Looks really lame. Shaved-head Kane with the mask would be pretty menacing itself, to be honest.

Observer's Dave Meltzer hinting more wrestlers in the WWE are considering leaving or walking out within the near future.

Several are thinking about it, as far as asking Cody, it would make sense to do that but you'd have to ask him. https://t.co/cj3HNZn1BT
— Dave Meltzer (@davemeltzerWON) October 18, 2017
In regards to Nia Jax's status, WWE still claims she's only on a "leave of absence" although they removed her from all upcoming events for the foreseeable future. In regards to the mystery of why Bo Dallas suddenly disappeared, he's actually sick right now. |
According to the Observer, there is truth to the rumor of Nia Jax walking out on RAW and being unhappy with her current status in the company.

Curious. I've heard off the grapevine that Jax did kind of pull the family card a little bit, and may not "get" the business like others do. I don't know if there is validity to that at all. She's a distant relation to The Rock, if she decides to keep at wrestling, I'm sure they'll make the spot for her. But I wouldn't be surprised if it just turned out to be "not for her."
Pure speculation. But she's been pushed fairly strong and fast. She really shouldn't be upset with her position. I'd say other things would have to be nagging at her. |
The thing that bothers me about the Kane look is that they keep running with the look which Kane had when he was at his worst and least relevant. I understand that the classic mask was hard to work in and such, but it just seems really odd that they're going to the least nostalgic version of Kane that there is.
At least give him a new costume. Or just have him wrestle without the mask. |
