Shelton Benjamin said on the E&C podcast that he always knew he'd be back in the WWE. How? Because if Cryme Time get a second chance then anyone can.

Sixx 10-12-2017 04:57 AM

They couldn't make them more stereotypical if they made one wear a KFC bucket and the other a watermelon hat.

Mr. Nerfect 10-12-2017 04:58 AM

I saw an interview with Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas (I imagine it was the two of them anyway), and one of them was being REALLY funny. I think it may have even been Haas.

Yeah, really tasteless. It's a shame there wasn't somewhere else for them to go, because someone like a Heyman would have given them the platform to really take shots at that and made the WWE look quite...well, let's just say "not hip."

Lol, Cornette's podcast this week is hilarious. Brian Last on Santino Marella might be more scathing than one of Cornette's rants.

I randomly came across a thread on some forum talking about this woman who is apparently Bayley's sister.

I did some digging and after a few sites, the consensus appears to be that she's more attractive than Bayley.

Just stumbled across some kind of porn montage video of various computer game characters and right at the start you get Randy Orton having a good time with Lara Croft.

I've censored it, so it's cool:

There seems to be a lot of anime characters, Street Fighter girls and the cast of Overwatch, so I can only assume that this is some kind of heaven for Mr. Kalyx triaD.

In an interesting twist to the on-going Young Bucks-WWE saga, 2K Games recently hired the Young Bucks to do some motion capture work for next year's WWE game.

Apparently they are one of the most popular wrestlers to make in CAW and 2K Games wanted to take advantage of this situation by having all their signature moves available or look more accurate for future games.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the company in charge of the WWE 2K franchise contacted The Bucks to ask them about doing motion capture work for next year's video game. The game creators felt like they needed all of the signature YB moves in the game because so many people playing last year's edition were using the Create-A-Wrestler mode to play as the brothers.

According to PWInsider, another reason for Jimmy Jacobs firing from the WWE was them not wanting non-wrestlers to be using social media.

Also revealed it was a combo of him being outside while RAW was occurring and being upset he took time off recently to deal with some personal issues that also lead to the decision for his firing.

The difference is those talents are stars, while Jacobs was "just" a writer and there is a culture behind the scenes where if you are seen as trying to get yourself over, when that isn't your role, it backfires on you, even if that wasn't what you were trying to do. I have had a number of WWE sources swear to me that a major reason Brooklyn Brawler was let go after decades of service to the company was his social media usage and other things that put him in the sights of the wrong people in the company who didn't like it, because "that wasn't his role."

Jimmy Jacobs has apparently been credited with coming up with most of Jericho's current gimmick, including the festival of friendship segment. I'm sure he'll end up back in Ring of Honor as soon as he's allowed to work.

From what I saw, I wouldn't be surprised if that kind of video already exists.

Funny, yes, but it's nonsense like that that makes me not want to pay for and also play WWE games anymore.

Mr. Nerfect 10-13-2017 06:11 PM

Of course Jimmy Jacobs got fired for what he did. The WWE has been benevolent enough to allow two guys outside the company to se their licences and trademarks to get themselves over. Then, these same two dickheads, parody the big company that kind enough to let them use the shit. Then they go into the backyard of the company and do it. Then a dude who took a photo supporting this gets fired.

WWE has sucked lately. Now people get sad when one of the culprits is fired? The "Festival of Friendship" (if Jacobs did come up with it) was not good because of Jimmy Jacobs. Chris Jericho carried that entire segment with an outrageous performance. Jericho's current gimmick? Saying stuff again and again until it is over because it is Jericho? This is like Russo taking credit for Stone Cold Steve Austin, but on a much smaller scale.

I've got nothing against Jimmy Jacobs. I heard some of his ROH stuff was good. But this sook party for a dude being fired for putting something on social media that makes the statement he would rather be other places is asinine. And if Jacobs mattered he wouldn't have been fired. This isn't Heyman getting demoted because he made RAW look bad. Jacobs is redunant.

Anybody Thrilla 10-13-2017 07:09 PM

I thought Jericho said he came up with the Festival of Friendship himself?

He came up with the general idea over the course of several months but it was him and Jacobs that actually put the whole thing together in the end.

Jericho wanted to do something in the vein of Game of Thrones' Red Wedding scene as a way to end his partnership with Owens.

I'm not sure. I heard Jericho pushed for it. He should certainly be credited for it, because he was the only reason it was good. Just like the "This is Your Life" segments. They weren't good because of that framing -- they were good because of the performers in it.

Anyway, probably just fanboys fanboying. I mean, Jacobs was part of the shit-machine for years, and now that he's out he's going to be credited for trying to book the cure for cancer, but no one would allow it.

Emperor Smeat 10-13-2017 10:15 PM

Apparently the reason Sin Cara isn't used in 205 Live and why his run in the cruiser division was short was because WWE felt he was too tall to be in the division.

Was revealed during a recent interview he had website Hidden Remote.

Quote:

Working briefly in the Cruiserweight Division:

"To be honest, I was trying to make the most of my opportunity, but in my case, I was only there for a couple of weeks. I wasn't really there for long. I think the Cruiserweights are great athletes and talented wrestlers, but in my case, I think I'm too big for the division. Not weight-wise because I weigh like 198, but height-wise I'm a lot bigger. I'm about 5 '10" and I put on the boots and I'm 6?. But it's one of those things where they want a certain type of wrestler in the division and that's fine. I didn't think it was a bad decision by the company not using me there but now there's a lot of opportunities for the all the kids that are doing that. Kalisto just transitioned into 205 [Live] and I wish him the best and hopefully that division can flourish now."

Yeah, obviously Jericho collaborated on the whole thing and Jacobs himself certainly isn't the one taking the credit for it. Festival of friendship was probably the best segment WWE has produced in recent memory so credit where it's due.

Mr. Nerfect 10-14-2017 03:48 AM

I think Jericho's recent run is completely overrated from every standpoint other than Jericho's performance. Like, Jericho is king, so he puts the hard work in and it shines, but on paper it was so average it hurts.
