And where was the WWE when Kevin Owens was pulling this shit in the indies?

Cool King 10-04-2017 03:06 PM

He was probably the worst one for doing it too.

Pretty much. Deadspin had an article shortly after his passing revealing how terrible and hateful Warrior became over the years.

https://deadspin.com/the-ultimate-wa...ick-1561275496

Even had disdain for Make A Wish and denied a kid's request backstage.

Damn, what a piece of shit. Good comment under the 2nd article.

Damn, when Bret Hart compares you negatively to Hulk Hogan, you've fucked up royally.

Warrior's wife kinda seems like a fake cunt, too.

I think part of that is the fact that she was actually willingly married to Warrior and part of it is just her face/the vibe she gives off. Nothing seems genuine about her.

RP 10-04-2017 05:05 PM

Stephanie McMahon seems like the coolest WWE person ever .

I met the Ultimate Warrior once. I was 16 years old working the register at a Wendy's in Scottsdale, AZ sometime circa 1997. I knew Warrior owned a gym in the area and always wondered if I would be lucky enough to run into him.
One slow afternoon, a beyond jacked bodybuilding monster walks up to my register wearing a loose eighties style tank top. It took a minute for my brain to connect the dots as he was not wearing his iconic face paint. But goddamned if my child hero wasn't standing in front of me. Our interaction was short but twenty years late I still remember it like it happened yesterday.
Before I could say a word he told me that he thinks he left his glasses in the restaurant when he was there before. I look in the box under the register and find a pair of glasses. I show him the pair and he claims them, then he said to me, "I'm glad I came back before the Mexicans stole them" (gesturing to some of our food prep workers).

lmao so true though.

They're no Ron Simmons.

Lock Jaw 10-05-2017 07:11 PM

Does Jericho say he is going to slap a sleeper hold on the girl, put her to sleep, then take her upstairs and ravage her body?

I'm pretty sure they can pick and choose who they want to go after.

Emperor Smeat 10-05-2017 08:49 PM

Yes but think it also hurts them as well in the eyes of the courts since IP/trademark laws can be a bit weird at times.

Some courts will lean towards the ones getting sued or threatened if they feel companies are not doing an adequate job protecting their trademarks which is why certain companies like Nintendo and Disney are very active in these types of issues.

OSpreay would have a tougher time contesting but Bucks have a better claim for use due to how long the WWE waited to file trademarks and enforce them.

Mr. Nerfect 10-05-2017 11:13 PM

Yeah, but no one knows who they are, lol. Going after a kid for having a Frozen poster in their bedroom YouTube video is a bit different to someone actually trying to use the three circles to make money. I dunno, it seems like a pretty clear case of infringement to me.

Mr. Nerfect 10-06-2017 12:20 AM

Just going to through this out there:

I'd rather see John Cena challenge for the Universal Title at WrestleMania than Roman Reigns. Cena is presumably going to be there. Have him make it right up until the end of the Royal Rumble before getting tossed out by AJ Styles, who goes on to challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Title. Cena still wants Brock. Heyman accepts the challenge, but Brock wants to do something to Cena that no one has ever done before: Make him quit.

* Brock Lesnar (c) vs. John Cena in an I Quit Match for the Universal Championship
* Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship

The Shield stick together and continue to be an unstoppable force. Triple H doesn't like them being back together, and he faces them with Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens by his side. The Four Horsewomen of WWE and of MMA also collide somewhere else on the card.

* The Shield vs. Triple H, Samoa Joe & Kevin Owens
* The Four Horsewomen of WWE vs. The Four Horsewomen of MMA

And that's WrestleMania booked. Go fuck yourselves.

Evil Vito 10-06-2017 01:20 PM

Remember when WWE wanted to debut Kenzo Suzuki as the cryogenically frozen Japanese emperor Hirohito and have him do an anti-America gimmick on RAW where the major babyface were all Canadian so they briefly changed the Canadians hometowns to places in America in order to prepare them for his debut?

Then he wound up on SmackDown under his own name with his wife as a geisha, and after a few months danced instead.

WWE was an odd place in 2004.

Sixx 10-06-2017 01:21 PM

Never heard of this, but this sounds hilarious.

And on a depressing note it was also a significantly better place then as opposed to now. I mean, yes, there were still some glaring flaws in the product, but at least they were actually TRYING to build stars on the main roster.

erickman 10-06-2017 01:54 PM

damn I just got the network free for 3 months, guess they are having problems getting people to buy it, getting people who have not been on since mania

And once that gimmick fell through, the idea was pitched of Heidenreich debuting as a cryogenically frozen Nazi.

Evil Vito 10-06-2017 02:59 PM

Thunder and Heat are currently being delayed from being uploaded to the Network, reportedly due to the ongoing lawsuit going on with Raven who featured prominently on both shows. They don't want to upload content with him on it while it's going on.

So the next stuff that will be uploaded is apparently the original NXT series when it was a "competition" show before turning into the second coming of WWECW.

Cool King 10-06-2017 03:33 PM

Dammit, I was looking forward to some Stevie Night Heat.

Big Vic 10-06-2017 03:34 PM

There is like 3 years of heat without Raven on it.

Yeah, not really sure why they can't upload that and do the rest later. Probably 75% of the people that would want to watch it are people wanting the Attitude Era stuff anyway since that's when "stuff happened" on Heat.
