Mr. Nerfect 09-28-2017 07:21 AM

It's weird how the WWE sometimes books like things don't matter -- there is no rhyme or reason, and if you try to look for logic or some sort of emotional hook you're a nerd who takes things too seriously -- and other times Vince really wants to try and use booking to make a star.

Maybe things like Reigns beating Cena would work a lot better if all the babyfaces weren't being burnt out and made to look like they wouldn't be able to pass Einstein's insanity test on SmackDown?

James Steele 09-28-2017 07:56 AM

What are they gonna do when they've put Roman over everybody clean, and he still isn't over? They will have sacrificed Undertaker, Cena, and Lesnar and it will still not give them the desired result.

The only thing they can do at that point is turn him into the biggest heel in the company and probably biggest heel since the McMahon character.

Maluco 09-28-2017 10:48 AM

They are sucking the life out of everything.

I try to avoid ranting but I started off skipping shows but never missed PPV, then I decided to only watch PPV, then I wasnt that bothered about missing them. Then I realised wrestling wasn't a thing for me anymore and tried to force myself back in. Finally, after years of "struggle", I cancelled network after Mania, and nowadays I barely even look at results.

It is a sad state of affairs and the empty arenas show that people are tired of it. Instead of being defensive and coming up with excuses, HHH should be worried about what state he inherits the company in.

Lesnar is being kept super strong so Reigns beating him means the most. Reigns is put over everyone clean so he’s the strongest challenger possible.

The idea was Cena would hit Reigns with every big move, over-and-over, and he couldn’t beat him, while Reigns would beat Cena with his usual stand-byes, the Superman punch and spear.

Similarly, Lesnar would survive multiple Strowman powerslams, and win clean with one F-5. He also wanted Lesnar vs. Strowman to be kept inside the ring (other than the one spot outside the ring involving the post, but nothing with tables and such), which kind of exposed Strowman, who got over on doing stunts outside the ring. The mentality, whether it’s right or not, was the short-term not so great match (I’m sure he was expecting a far better crowd response for the main event when he had the vision but going in it was going to be a short match with one F-5 as the finish) was the small picture and the big picture was both guys being as strong as possible for Mania.

I'm sure the majority of fans are going to love that.

Emperor Smeat 09-28-2017 04:55 PM

Gets even worse since Observer stated the original plan prior to Strowman getting hurt was for Lesnar to steamroll over Rollins, Balor, and Strowman with 1-hit F5 moves for wins.

Idea was to make Lesnar go back into Beast/Final Boss status and Reigns getting the Super treatment against Lesnar and the F5 move for Mania.

Gerard 09-28-2017 05:11 PM

The sooner Vince the "entrepreneur and genius" (that has only ever had success in wrestling, so much for those 2 tags) steps down the better, woefully out of touch and his ideas more often than not fall flat on their face. You know you've hit the creative brick wall when you have to give money away on live tv to get people to watch the show ffs, and that was a few years ago.

Apparently Bray Wyatt's divorce process managed to drag the WWE into it and only because they refused to pay court fees associated with documents requested.

Also claimed to have intimidated Bray's wife in order for her to not find out about Bray's true net worth and having his contract be made public.

On 9/22, the lawyers for Samantha Rotunda filed a motion in Superior Court in Stamford, CT saying that the WWE was acting in bad faith and attempting to intimidate the litigant from going through discovery and finding out her husband's true financial picture.

The concussion/CTE lawsuits against the WWE could be over as early as the first week of November due to the judge for the cases ordered the lawsuits to be amended or else risk them being tossed out.

Been rumored or speculated for months these lawsuits were the main reason why WWE has been very hesitant on the idea of Daniel Bryan making a possible in-ring return before his contract expires.

So SportsDirect seem to be selling WWE merchandise now.

I don't even know if the merchandise is authentic or if they even have an agreement with WWE about selling this stuff, but who wouldn't want a T-shirt of Dean Ambrose dying in an exploding ambulance?

An offer was made several weeks ago to representatives of Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper with the idea of Cooper starring as McMahon, according to a well placed source familiar with the project. Apparently Randy Orton was against the idea of taking the World title off of Christian just days after Edge's retirement. Him, Edge, and Christian tried to plead with Vince to let the title change happen at a later date and let Christian enjoy being a world champ for a while. Instead Vince wasn't willing to budge and Christian only had 2 days as champ.

Got revealed during the recent episode of Edge & Christian podcast show with Orton as the guest.

Christian says Vince reasoned that since Smackdown was starting fresh at the time, he needed them as the top guys to keep the ship afloat until Summerslam. Orton tried to insist that Christian keep the title longer and didn't want to cut his moment off so fast, Christian wanted to make this known since some speculated at the time that politics where involved. In a classic Vince move, they were going to change their minds about Summerslam and crown Mark Henry then instead. Both guys argued against it with Vince and got their way in the end.
