Why don't Wrestling Companies sue Wrestling Websites?
 

If I was an director and my future big hits script got out, I'd be pissed!

Same thing goes for Impact. When the show is predominantly taped and not Live, doesn't it hurt if not practically eliminate it's viewership when wrestling websites leak every segment?

Can't they be silenced?

If I'm a hardcore wrestling fan, there is no way I'm jus going to not read the spoilers. But then, I won't watch the show because it's been spoiled.

Wouldn't it be cool to go back and actually get into the storylines and stuff without finding out ahead of time the spoilers about it?

Couldn't that be one of the predominant things in the 90s that made the Wars so awesome? Spoilers just weren't as common then.

If I was Dixie Carter or Eric Bischoff, and my product was mostly taped, I'd be doing something about my products storylines getting out. I'd have a designated online crew that surfed websites and gave cease & assist letters out.

I believe you meant cease and desist. However, I think that because the spoilers are text based and from someone's perspective and not audio or video transmission, there is no intellectual property being infringed upon to cease and desist.

You need self control. Don't want spoilers, don't read it. Being a fan who can't resist isn't an excuse [for adults anyway].

I avoid Smackdown spoilers on weeeks I know I can actually watch the show on Friday. I always read TNA spoilers when available because their show is so damn hit or miss.



They have every right to exist and there is no grounds for lawsuits....and if they tried it would do nothing but irritate and alienate their most hardcore of fans.

its just like tv magazines for soaps, when they want to keep something a secret then they will do so, however on taped shows they are always aware that the audience members have eyes ears and mouths.

WWE has never seemed to think so. If they could sue dirt sheets based on news, rumours and spoilers, I have no doubt they would.

The McMahons - Power & Greed?
 

Vince McMahon shoots storylines all the time. Screwing Bret, Having his son appear on WCW to buy it, killing himself in a Limo Explosion, kidnapping his daughter, etc..

Stephanie McMahon is destined now to take over the reigns of the WWE.

If you told someone this 8 years ago, they would have said, Shane.

Shane is a pretty similiar mold to his father, willing to do whatever it takes to get the crowd going.

Yet, Shane has something else on his mind...

So does Linda...

Linda is going to be a Senator in November. There's no way she is going to lose to a guy who lies about his military service. Just isn't going to happen.

Shane will most likely end up having ownership in some form of martial arts, whether it's UFC, MMA, or w/e.

Vince, he's been rumored to retire soon, yet his character has also been rumored to return too.

If he did retire from being WWE Chairman, you could always expect Vince to restart the XFL or focus on WWE Films. It's more obvious that he'd focus on WWE Films and the WWE Network. Even going as far as an animated series on Nickelodeon.

Question is.. Are the McMahons out for World Domination or are they just really greedy?

If I hadn't become a smark, I would have stopped watching wrestling 10 years ago.

they are trying o be a media empire, but really no one cares about anything else they do but wrestling and there is only so much you can do with that as far as merch and programs go, the films the wwe produce are shit and just about break even.

I would say that the Marine series is actually pretty decent. I thought Marine 2 was great with Dibiase Jr.

See No Evil was also really good but it wasn't hyped as much or given any credible push like any other horror film like Wes Cravens. But I think down the road, more can be done.

I see people like The Miz, Jericho, and Morrison being decent actors if not others in a comedy or suspense.

Obviously Jericho and Miz have the acting background but there's many current younger talent who can work the crowd and would be able to mold into the camera in their own way to fit their character.
